I actually did not attend your dentists office. But I am posting this here so people who think about using your clinic understand the unsafe behaviour of one of your staff. I am in a physically distanced line right now. Your employee will not stand 6 feet away from me. He is the only person in this whole line who is not physically distant. I have tried to step 6 feet away from him many times and he continues to stand directly behind me. This is really irresponsible and makes me question how someone so blatantly unsafe can work in a dental clinic. You should speak to your employee about wearing company clothes when out in public willingly endangering others.

I had to come here for an emergency appointment at the beginning of the pandemic while my regular dentist was shut down. The team here tried to pressure me into a very expensive procedure (thousands of dollars) to have a crown put in immediately and claimed it was my only option. Thankfully I was able to see my regular dentist before I agreed to this as it turns out I didn't need a crown (or anything for that matter, the tooth was fine). Midtown dental wanted to shave down a viable tooth and put me through a painful major procedure for no reason other than to make a quick buck. Do not come here!!!

I wrote a review here a few years ago, but I had such an overwhelmingly positive experience there this past month I created a new Gmail account just to write an updated one. It had been a couple years since I had seen the dentist, and I had lapsed in keeping up with my usual brushing standards. I came back to reality and headed straight back to Midtown. A friendly face welcomed me, who I recognized from my last visit (and also recognized me!) I was assured my case was not critical, and nothing was unfixable. A few quick, painless visits and not only do I feel brand new, but I also feel like I gained new friends. They sat through my music, my talking and my salivating all while making sure the work was neat and, quite honestly, perfect. They have installed new life into my teeth and my life. I've exceeded my own standards and even began flossing full-time. I want to maintain and protect the incredible work they've done.

In my early years, I had issues with dentists so I'm always wary, but I'm so confident with the work they provided for me over the years I would recommend M.D. without hesitation. I can actually say that I actually look forward to the next time I get to go here though maybe giving myself a cavity on purpose isn't the greatest idea! I love you Midtown!

Had an amazing experience today here. My son was made so comfortable that he did not require me to control him neither for the x-rays nor for the cleaning. Dr Laurel is amazing and the team of hygienists as well. Make you comfortable since you enter the office. And they are able to make kids not be afraid of dentists. Something I did not learn.

Haven't had a great run of dentist experiences in my life UNTIL I went to Midtown Dental. Everyone is super kind and friendly and understanding. Being at the dentist usually stresses me out but everyone is great and respectful that I'm relaxing more.
The most important thing is that they listen to you. Actually listen to you when you talk about your oral health and trust that you know your mouth considering you've lived with it all your life.
Been there several times already and would suggest them, especially to those who have anxiety going to the dentist. If you let them know off the bat that you're not super comfortable with being there, they'll immediately work with you to find ways to make you as comfortable and less-scared as possible.

Took 3 appointments to do what my previous dentist did in one appointment, while charging 2.5 times what my previous dentist did, and making causing long waiting room waits during covid. The dentists and hygienists I saw were friendly and good but there needs to be more transparency around billing. They were unable to explain why they charge so much. They also forgot to submit half my claims to the insurance. I will be going back to my dentist where my parent live when I visit as it is cheaper and faster.

Had gone there for a while and always kind of felt the structure of the appointments was a bit of a money grab. Then I had an appointment cancelled when I showed up late because they said that they would need more time, which at the time I completely understood. When I went back for the rescheduled appointment I was kept waiting for 45 minutes when I went to leave they tried to stop me and said it wasn't a big deal and the appointment could still be squeezed in. I haven't been back since and I don't really think aside from the location there is anything special about this place.

Dr R is kind and understanding. Zara is an amazing hygienist. I have been going to this dentist for over 8 years. They have compassion for those of us who suffer from panic and anxiety. Cares about his patients.

Bc of covid 19.. this place charges patients 20.00$ for the extra medical garment that they have to wear which should be a business expense but they are pushing it on to customers. Both time I came in .. the hygienist was super helpful, knowledgeable and did a good job with the cleaning. They will sell you things you don't need. I have 100 percent coverage however I ended up paying the $20.00 plus other fees. I called other dental clinics to see if they are charging this fee and looks like its only this clinic doing it. So I will need to find a new clinic.

Came in for my second full comprehensive visit today with Dr. Ramlaggan. I've lived in Toronto for 30 years and have never had a more thorough dentistry experience. *I'm not a patsy that gives good reviews unless they are truly deserved as you will notice if you read my other comments on things "Toronto". The staff at Midtown Dental Centre are accomodating, polite and go beyond the level of service I've ever experienced at any health professional office I've been to (thank you to the receptionist for the use of your reading glasses when filling out the patient questionnaire) Dr. Ramlaggan is a kind, professional and respectful man that takes the time to explain all options of the services he provides for dental health and hygiene. Any indication that it's for profit only is in my opinion, from reading other reviews, low brow, petty and as much to be expected when you let everyone and anyone with an opinion and no filter (or sensibility) voice their opinion. Rent, hydro, feeding their children and staff doesn't come cheap boys and girls and even though this is a health facility OHIP doesn't cover anything. So if you're butt hurt over the prices or suggestion to use their services at cost, SHOP AROUND instead of flinging mud where it's not due. That's what mature balanced people do. Overall, it was the best dental experience I've had, priced at the same level as most downtown dental offices and more thorough compared to any other facility I've been to. Thank you for your good work and kind service.

This dentist will milk you and your insurance for everything and much more.
3 wisdom teeth extraction would of cost me 2.7k at this location.
I had a funny feeling about this guy, so i took a chance and got a 2nd opinion, and once I got the second opinion I knew this place was a scam. Currently recovering from the 3 wisdom teeth extraction and I only paid 1.3k and got great service by some great people. I will take every chance i get to warn people about the business these guys are running.

Edit: Many people may not know this, but dentists can charge whatever they want (its not regulated) and I found this out after speaking to my insurance provider.
To make it clear to anyone that's actually reading this. I went to 2 dentists, this place being the first one. Now keep in mind, when you call your insurance and ask for the quote that they received they will know which business gave them that quote. So i know for a fact that this place gave me that quote so don't try to lie. Scam, scam, scam.

This dentist office is honestly the best. I have been to many dentists in my time and this one is unlike any other I've been to. The hygienists are so nice, and they all have big personalities. They are the friendliest and most knowledgeable team. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist, and everyone made sure that I was 100% before starting my fillings. They really care about you as a patient and as a person. Dr Baldassarra is hands down the best dentist I've ever dealt with.

They are such a rip off! they will literally go over as much time as they want to charge you more. Their hour of work is really 50 mins that includes the time you wait and time you pay after. I did half cleaning done and they already consumed all my policy allowance in two visits. They quoted me 4 hours!!! for cleaning. That's just crazy. Don't go there it's not worth it!
