Very nice staff... going there again
Sons first haircut today. He gave Bev a hard time at first but she was really good with him and did an awesome job. Love this place :)
Super friendly staff. I had an appointment for 10:30 am but since I had my son out of the house already and he was getting cranky, I didn't think I could keep him out longer. So I ran into Melonhead Whitby to see if they can take me early and they accommodated me. Thank you so much Denise for cutting my son's hair on such short notice!! Really appreciate it!
Brought my child here for his first ever haircut and I will never return or recommend this location to anyone
The woman that cut his hair named Denise cut the back of his ear with the clippers and did not even apologize when we brought it to her attention. When I asked if we should treat it with some rubbing alcohol or something all she said is oh it's not that deep… Well what does that mean?? You still cut my son.
They are also overpriced for the service they provide and I would not recommend this location to anyone as the quality of haircut was not good either. It was rushed and not what we asked for.
Horrible attitude.
Do not advertise walk ins welcome if you cannot accommodate them within a half an hour.
Walked in and said the wait time is 3 hours.
Not to mention, not even a greeting was given- stood infront of the desk for atleast 2 minutes before she even acknowledged me with a " what are you here for today ".
First timers and it would have been my son's first hair cut. Glad I walked out.
Our last 2 appointments have been with Bev and she is amazing! Our 2-year old son didn't have the best experiences before, but Bev is able to put him at ease. We make sure to book all our appointment with her!
Great with kids. Patient during appointment.
If you advertise that you take walk-in appointments, then take a walk in appointment instead of sending us away. This is not the first time this has happened so I feel it is important to review based on this experience.
Not a good experience. Called to make an appointment. Goes to voicemail. Leave a voicemail to get an appointment. No reply. Website says they take walk-ins, as does the sign out front. Don't bother walking in. We were told that they could not take us in as they were booked solid for the rest of the day.
If you as a business owner are booked solid and cannot accept walk-ins, you need to be answering the phone. If you are *so busy* you can't even answer the phone, it is incumbent upon you as a business owner to take thirty seconds to set your voicemail to say "we are booked for the day, leave a message for an appointment on another day."
So, I'd have loved to give Melonhead's my money. Looked like a great place. But they didn't seem to want it very much and don't have the professionalism to get it. Two stars instead of one, because they did, unprompted, offer a 10% off coupon in an attempt to salvage some form of customer service. A coupon I have no intention of using after this. My time is valuable.
In summary, this business needs to
- keep space open for walk-ins, OR
- answer phone calls, OR
- respond promptly to voicemails, OR
- update their voicemail when fully booked.
Just left Melonhead and loved our experience. We've previously had two haircuts at a children's hair place in Pickering and this was so much better. They cut my 22 month old son's hair exactly as I requested. The ladies working were both so patient with all the kids I watched getting cuts. We are future customers for sure. So glad we tried this place instead of our usual.
