The McKenzie Art & Animation summer camps are a great way for your child to experience creativity on a whole new level.

Artists at McKenzie Art & Animation Camps will have the opportunity to explore their creative potential, while discovering important eras in the classical art world. The art and animation camps encourage each and every student to do what they love!

Art Camp:

Two groups: ages 6-9 & 10-12

At McKenzie Art Camps, we encourage students to explore their inner creativity while creating fun, unique and artistic masterpieces during week-long sessions.

We explore many eras and mediums of art, including drawing, painting, pastels, sculpture and other diverse projects, mostly on an individual basis but sometimes as part of a team.

When the weather cooperates, we bring our students on outdoor trips to Victoria Park, just a few minutes walk from our school. This is a great way to change the scenery, let our students get a break from their artwork and a nice place to have lunch.

Art Exhibit

Friends and family are invited each Friday afternoon to a fabulous art show, hosted by our weekly artists!

Animation Camp:

Two groups: ages 8-10 & 11-13

Students with an interest in classical animation can take the opportunity to create their own characters and learn how to animate them.

After learning the process of designing a character and creating a storyboard, students have the option to continue animating classically, or use clay-mation techniques.

Using a digital camera and an animation program, we record the student’s brilliant stories and upload them on-line to show friends and family.

Animation Show

Each Friday afternoon, we invite family and friends to a showing of the animated work created during that week.

This is a great experience for students curious about the wonderful world of animation!
