The staff was kind and prompt.
Mom was in Saskatoon and transferred to care within 90 mins.
So kind, caring and efficient, even not during "regular office hours "

Kevin Martens is the guy you want when you are going through all the grief and sorrow. He is sincere and honest and helps you navigate through the government paperwork. It was just a great experience.

We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to Mervin Oleksyn and Martens Warman Funeral Home for taking care of our family during the difficult days following the loss of our Husband/Father. Mervin was kind, caring, compassionate, thorough and ethical. He always put our family first, explaining things so patiently and meeting with us directly in our home made things so much easier. After a not so pleasant experience with Mourning Glory he helped us deal with switching funeral homes and outrageous transfer fees. We are forever grateful for this family owned business and would highly recommend Martens Funeral Home and Mervin’s services over any corporate overpriced funeral home.

My Dad passed away suddenly a couple weeks ago, just 7 months after my Mom passed away. Both times we used Martens Warman Funeral Home for the arrangements. Kevin and his team were kind, compassionate, and attentive to every detail. Each conversation was filled with dedication to ensuring our wishes were carried out. The Services were held at the funeral home both times, and our family was very pleased with the whole process. Thank you for making our difficult time a little easier.

We laid my dad's earthly body to rest in the Philippines this past Saturday (9/9/2017). On behalf of my family, I would like to extend my sincerest and deepest gratitude and appreciation to Shirley and John. The passing of my father was very difficult, but God put all the right people in the right place for us to celebrate his life and move forward and continue on with my father's legacy. I will truly be indebted to you for allowing us to hold services with my father's body present and accommodating our every request and being available allow hours of day. We had a total of 7 evening services with my dad and saw dozens of our loved ones come to Christ during this home-going celebrations. Once the body arrived here in the Philippines, the local Funeral Home was impressed at how well my dad's body was preserved and I smiled knowing that God's people took good care of God's man. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Eight years ago, we hired Martens Funeral Home for my Dad and Grandma's funeral. And just recently in August of 2017, with no hesitation, we hired their services again for my Mom's funeral. All three times, we were very pleased with their services. From the time of passing to the final bill, they are companionate and easy to deal with. I give them a 5 star!

Very unprofessional! I was out of the country when they provided my father's services. Later when I received my father's death certificate every name that belonged on that document was misspelled except for one name that was being fraudulently listed as a legal spouse. Clearly no legal identification was verified. When I called about this matter I was personally attacked where Shirley Martens demanded to know the nature of my private relationships rather than answer to where she obtained the information she signed her name to on a legal document. This was not only unprofessional, but in a time of grief, it was unspeakably cruel.

When you are going through the most devastating time of your lives, you need people who you can count on to get you through. John & Shirley Martens and staff are professional, courteous, caring, and genuine. They are always readily available to guide and assist in any circumstance at any time, day or night. I've required their services three times and each time, I've received top-notch service. They are at team of professionals. John Martens is truly wonderful. I appreciate Martens Warman Funeral Home, more than I can say.

We recently used Martens Warman Funeral Home to look after my Mom's funeral arrangements. They were amazing to deal with. At all hours of the day (and even night), the owners answer the phone themselves and are incredibly kind and helpful. Our family would have been lost without them, and frankly we would have been broke going to any other funeral home. Believe me, we checked prices! I don't believe that anonymous post one bit, because it is the exact opposite of my family's experience. Perhaps a competitor wrote it. All I know is that Martens Warman Funeral Home is exactly what a locally owned and operated funeral home should be like: affordable, compassionate and helpful.

We've used John and Shirley's services on two occasions. They are incredibly compassionate and kindhearted. They are reasonably priced and they go above and beyond the call of duty to look after the families they serve, and they keep helping long after the funeral is over. I highly recommend Martens Warman Funeral Home in your time of need.

Absolutely the worst experience with this funeral home. I have never could have expected such poor service especially in such a time of need. No empathy from the couple who owns this business. Terrible at returning phone calls. No compassion. As soon as our money was taken and we had some very serious concerns about the burial, they were impossible to contact. Pathetic and heartbreaking. This business has left such a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully the couple that owns this business can rest easy at night.
