Oh...my...yum! Had the hamburger soup today! What a great lunch! So hearty and filling and just scrumptious! I couldn't finish it but saved it for dinner.

Now that I've experienced European coffee, I am trying to find similar tastes at home. Locavore filled that desire with their latté made with 18% cream. Two thumbs up on the taste and fat content. The coffee is fresh, decently blended if mild, and most importantly, not oxidized-sour like the franchise places.
I read poetry next to the windows and edited a story away from them. The temperature was comfortable, the clientele seemed enlightened, and the light was great for my bad eyes.

Love the food! You can find vegan soup options and you can also have your meal delivered to you at Picaroon's (located next door). One of my favourite lunch locations. Also check out their cookies and coffee.

The hand pies are second to none and the soups are absolutely to die for. You cannot go wrong with a meal from Locavore, and remember to savour their delicious coffee, best in the city :-)

I've never had a single negative experience here, and I frequent the cafe pretty often. Superb staff, excellent service and wait times, and absolutely delicious food at a rock bottom price point,
Whenever I have friends or family from out of town come visit, Locavore is always the number one recommendation I give. I've never seen anyone dislike it.

Great spot to grab a meal made with love. Fresh, local grub that's conveniently located beside Picaroons. Staff are incredibly friendly, the space is beautiful, and I will certainly return.

Coffee was delicious and staff super sweet from my encounters here. I'm Celiac and have not tried any of the gluten free options yet but will consider! Beautiful rustic and calm atmosphere and did I mention delicious coffee?

Great place, great coffee, but really needs it's own wifi - the Picaroons connection tops out at around 3Mbps on speedtest(dot)net - a decent setup should provide 10x that

Fantastique! Great food, lovely open space with a great atmosphere :) I've been thinking for years that SJ was missing good espresso... not anymore! Just wondering if any of the NB roasters offer a blond or light roast, and if that's something you'd consider offering? Either way, we'll be there next time I drive over from Moncton ;)

The location is great. The glass wall lets in natural daylight and it's quite cheery during daytime. But poorly lit for evenings otherwise.
The chairs are uncushioned and uncomfy. But otherwise seating is plenty. Food is good. However, they share space with picaroons another awesome place to hang out. But both these places play their own music, the picaroons being louder so you end up hearing a cacophony of 2 different kinds of music. Giving you headache nausea and a desire to leave! Well not all days... Some days
