Service took a while. Breakfast was decent. Large portion sizes. Nice setting outside.
Mostly a chocolate shop with a small section for "history of chocolate" not really a musuem. Chocolate quality was mediocre for a chocolate shop.
A bit of a let down in terms of size. However, very informative. The chocolate sculptures were both interesting and disturbing at the same time. Not really my type of place but I imagine if you really wanted to know thongs about chocolate that would be a good place to be. According to one chart US consumes 25% of world chocolate. Though according to another that's not true, several countries in Europe consume more?! Either way, temperate regions consume while warm tropical places produces.
Fabulous breakfast --awesome fruit display on each plate. I enjoyed the egg bagel that came with tons and tons of fruit. Delicious -- not too pricey. Don't be fooled -- the museum is one thing -- the cafe and patio at the back is worth a visit!
The best breakfast I have had in five years. Don't be distracted by the chocolate museum. The restaurant is terrific.
St.. Viateur bagels, lox, cream cheese - better than Manhattan.
Excellent place.
The history of chocolate is very informative.
Nice chocolate store with a museum showing its history. Be aware that this place is cash only though so know to bring cash.
Great breakfast, the house sausage in the egg benedict is the best I've ever had. Great coffee too. The kids enjoyed the hot chocolate. The price is very reasonable and the portions are generous.
Where: Musée du Chocolat - Bromont
What: a chocolate store
How was it: Well, Musée is a play on words because there is nothing museum about this place. They sell candy that you find in the city for 2x the price and that includes their truffles. Sadly we still have Belgium truffles in our minds and this didn't come close. We didn't expect it to but we were hoping for a more authentic place rather than a highly commercialized chocolate place.
Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3
Recommend: If you are in the city you can check it out but not worth going out of your way to see.
Nice selection of treats. Not sure how much time anyone spends in the museum? It adds some legitimacy to the destination however. ;-)
Very good food! Not recommended for children because of the very long wait time. Seams to need better organization! Order as soon as you can since you will be waiting for a while
Excellent service. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. The back patio was perfect for lunch on a sunny day. The food was excellent and the chocolate, perfect. (I had a breakfast bagel and fruit with milk chocolate.) The chocolate milk was ice cold and smooth. I highly recommend this place for a casual and relaxing experience. Take your time here. Don't rush chocolate.
