really great vegetarian options and service! the avocado pressed sushi is on point
From beef hot pot to pressed sushi and unique tempura veg (try the cauliflower!), this lil' ikazaya does it right. Modern, rad service that bends backwards to accommodate dietary needs, cheap saké.
This is how good the special lunch bento is (was).
New to sake? try the sake flight
チーケンからげ(chicken karage ) recommended and tongue on the stone.
The essential Vancouver Izakaya experience. Get there at lunch to score one of the Deluxe Bento Boxes (only 10 made each day) to try a whole heap of absolutely everything. [Eater 38 Member]
Best service!!! I didn't know the lunch and dinner menus were different but they let me order a lunch dish anyway! The negitoro bowl is the best!
I always go for the lunch specials :)
Batshit crazy black cod cheek karaage up in here this week
Try the invincible and undefeated tan tan noodle (love the name), the kobe beef stone and the tuna tataki.
Order the deluxe bento box. Great value at $16! But it's only available for lunch. And they only make 100 orders per day and they usually sell out. You can order it over the phone though. ;)
Lunch special bento is truly special. They only make 10 per day so get there early. Great way to sample many items if you can't decide what to have!
Beer pitcher and and food combos ~$20 after 10 pm..
Best Japanese lunch in Vancouver. Try the Deluxe set, Tonkatsu set, or Kakuni Bowl. Unforgettable.
Pork belly "kakuni" rice in sizzling stone bowl
Good tan tan noodle. Go very late if you don't want to be rushed by the wait staff.
Beef tongue on hot stone is a must! Tuna carpaccio is great too. For lunch the pork katsu is delicious too!
Try the stone-grilled Kobe beef.
I'd fathom to say the lunch here is more authentic than in Tokyo
Go to Kingyo and order the Rockin Kobe and a Yellow Tail and Avocado salad. Oh, and don't forget a large cold Sake.
