  I brought 2 pairs of jeans to be hemmed and was very pleased with the service, quality of work, pricing and estimated completion time. In particular, the Euro hem on one pair of jeans was done perfectly. Their hours of operation work well for the downtown core and early-morning commuters like me. I will definitely return!

  Incredible service! They did a big alternation job for me, same day, within a few hours of me bringing the garment in.

  I have never posted a review before but I absolutely had to for Kim's. I dropped my lace gown off for hemming early this morning. For those of you who don't know, lace is not an easy fabric to work with and it was a mermaid shaped train to boot. I needed a rush job for tomorrow afternoon and they had no problem with that. The younger lady there took a lot of time and care in pinning/fitting and basically asked my opinion for each pin she put in the dress. I didn't have cash on me (they do not accept credit unfortunately) so I said I would come back. I went back at lunchtime with cash and found out my dress was ready - a full day early! They did such an amazing job - it is hard to tell that the dress has been altered even though it started out a good 6 or more inches too long. My wallet was equally pleased - $40 for a not-so-simple alteration was well worth the price and very competitive for the downtown core. Both Kim and the younger woman were incredibly friendly and professional and I am very impressed with the quality, timeliness and value of their work. I would highly recommend Kim's to anyone looking for quality alterations!!

  Work was CROOKED and staff is ABUSIVE!!
  
  I needed to get a bridesmaid dress shortened and taken in at the waist. When I got it, the waistline was noticeably crooked and loose on one side. I facetimed my mom in the change room to ask her what thinks. She said it looked ok from the video, so I left.
  
  I had 1 week before the wedding so I went to another seamstress the next day. The new seamstress told me the waistline was OVER AN INCH OFF!
  
  I went back to ask nicely if there can be any compensation. The owner and seamstress claimed it was MY FAULT because “I stayed in the change room for an hour talking to my mom and said nothing to them”. She failed to understand that I was on FaceTime for so long because it didn’t look right. I couldn’t trust them at that point and was in a rush to get this done properly. Instead of humouring me, the owner was laughing, screaming and talking over me. She also continually stepped close to me physically. Her pitch was so loud people outside the store were looking. It all became my fault because I took it to someone else instead of letting them potentially ruin it more. Even if they didn’t refund me, which wasn’t the biggest deal, they were abusive and refused to listen. Had they just nicely said I needed to tell them at the time to get a refund, I would’ve accepted that. Instead, they became very aggressive.
  
  The owner will completely deny this but the photos just prove my point that is it crooked!!
