  Very poor communication with regards to compliance requirements in Rocky View County. I hired Jones Geomatics for a Real Property Report when I sold my home recently (I lived in Rocky View County). Their prices were competitive and they said they could get the RPR done in a reasonable time frame. I took this RPR 4 months after I received it to my lawyer's office to go over the sale of my home only to find out I required a compliance stamp from Rocky View County before the lawyers could finalize the documents. I immediately contacted Jones to ask why there was no communication from them to myself informing me I required a compliance stamp and the response I kept getting was "It is your Realtor's and Lawyer's responsibility to inform you regarding compliance requirements." How does a professional survey company operate under the assumption that everyone else knows the legally requirements with regards to survey documents? Is that not the reason to hire a professional survey company? I took the RPR to RVC to have them review it and give it compliance, but they say it takes 5-7 business days to have it reviewed. Ultimately, the sale of my house went through but there was a substantial hold back of funds until the RPR receives the compliance stamp. Long and short of all of this, contact a survey provider who will communicate all the requirements to their customers and not rely on others to give their customers key information.
