Perfect dining stop when commuting past or a wonderful lunch spot for lunch for a change of scenery from the spa at Manitou. It's also a great place to eat when camping at Manitou prov. Park. The meals are all well presented full of flavour, with homemade soups always beckon the appetite. Waitresses are extremely pleasant and willing to serve you. Also a sun. drive stop in coffee and snack awaits.

This place came highly recommended by different sources as well as a local. There was a great special on the pasta dishes the evening we were there so that's what we all chose. One of us chose the Sicilian Penne, one chose the Pasta Poseidon, and two of us had the Jambalaya
Penne and they were all very delicious. We chose the option of melted mozzarella cheese which was the icing on the cake! Delicious! The service was friendly and efficient.

I stopped in tonight for dinner. Still looking for a recompense from last night's meal. I was hopeful as I drove up to see the parking lot was full. I had steak on my mind and the waitress told me that they do a very good steak. I order the 10 oz New York strip medium well. Stay comes with salad potatoes and vegetables. Salad was very nice with a house Greek dressing. Crispy and not wilted. When a steak arrived it looked delicious; covered with fresh sauteed mushrooms and prepared medium just right. The steak was thick and juicy and lightly salted. Delicious.
I give it four stars but only because of the noise. There were a lot of people and not a lot of sound dampening to make it a cozy place. I took a deserve back to my hotel which was also lovely. A banana filled pastry with cinnamon sugar on top and a side of ice cream. Very good.

Stopped while traveling home from fishing trip up north. Very nice atmosphere and very good hand made burger. The hostess that greeted me was one of the beautiful woman I've ever seen. They were busy but the service was good.

Food is consistently good, but a little on the pricy side. The pizza is probably the best deal as it is on par with most other restaurants. However, don't ask for extra ham as the pizza becomes very salty and not very appetizing. I wish they would spend some money on landscaping around the out side of the restaurant. Ugliest parking lot I've ever seen for a good restaurant. Some decor on the inside would add to the dining experience as well.

We visited John's Plate with family and friends. The potato skins are to die for! very well kept and pride of ownership is very apparent. Thanks for the great experience

My family and I had a really good experience here. Food was a little slow, but all really good. Very nice cozy décor (and I am not the kind of person who uses words like "décor" often). I would give them six stars if they had better beers.

Very disappointed. Having celiacs disease makes life difficult to begin with. Not happy at all when I order an omelette and they say they won't make it in a separate frying pan but will do normal eggs. That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. I don't know about other people but when I make my omelette's at home I make them in a frying pan. Just a heads up if you want business you may want to try harder to get customers bc more and more people are getting diagnosed with celiacs.

Delicious fresh food! Loved the home made burger and hand cut sweet potato fries and fresh salad. Nico was friendly and great with our kids.
