Cute cafe and art gallery, part of Medicine Hat's downtown art walk. Serve only drip or French press coffee no specialty coffees. Desserts are divine.

I have a 3-4 chance rule for any cafe or restaurant, maybe it's just staff, a bad day, or a slim chance it happened to me :^

But after a while it's evident that's it's no longer these issues

The first time I was ever in there we were taking a break from an engangment shoot, we were just going to get some food and drinks.

I don't leave my expensive gear in the vehicle for obvious reasons.

Upon entering, I believe the owner maybe, with out any shred of politeness .demands I not take photos while explaining to me that I need permission.

All of my gear is in bags I can understand the need to protect art, but I felt accosted as no one was going to take photos we just wanted to eat after a long day of shooting.

She made it really uncomfortable by watching us and hovering like we were some sort of art thieves ?

After explaining to her that I don't leave my gear in the vehicle for the 2nd or 3rd timel she still continued to berate us as if we were children that couldn't be trusted and in need of hearing about all of the laws protecting art like lady we get it, trust me I get it, I have been doing photography for years..let us order our food and be done with it.. .

Now normally I would have just picked up and left but everyone at the table really wanted to try it out I felt really uncomfortable, and didn't even want to spend my money in this place.

After a few minutes of me debating on leaving, my friends convinced me to stay, all while avoiding this woman's glances and hoverings.

On top of it all our orders were all wrong =/

It took me a full year to try it again, with help from friends that insist I try it out again

Unfortunately it wasn't to my liking, each visit consisted in disappointment, I tried really hard to order different things, and with different friends . but I've officially written this cafe off as a no go.

The coffee for a "Cafe" is mediocre, the food is pretty genericthere is nothing really special about the menu, and the machines are usually down when you want to order.

The last visit that did it for me was a baked good that tasted stale and the drink was like water .

Maybe I have the worst luck in regards to this specific cafe , who knows.. but I won't be back =/

I'll stick with Station House and Cafe Verve , you can taste the quality in their goods

Great place for lunch. Staff are friendly and the food is always cooked fresh. They do the best BLT ever and the homemade soup is always good. Love this place.

Quaint, quiet, and quick. Possibly the best Cafe in the hat, and not just for there food either. I love the moments when no one's here so I can just enjoy a cup of tea and read a book instead of being bombarded by the noise of other customers and/or radio. Service is always polite and knowledgeable about there menu, not to mention the items on the menu are relatively health-concious.

So thank-you Inspire Cafe. Keep making those tasty treats and homemade soups!

Inspire always has the best snacks if you're sneaking away for a break or it's a great place to eat with friends.

The service is always 10 out of 10. Coffee and tea are always good. If you need a hand, the staff know their stuff!

Enjoyed a hot pot of Bella Coola tea. Unique cafe, great service, and although I've been here previously, I fully anticipate coming back.

Inspire has such a unique vibe in our community. With the art studio connected, and artwork displayed throughout its certainly not like anything else in Medicine Hat! Oh, and do yourself a favour while you're there, eat a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich.
