They tend to do extra things without asking you, but still charging you. I have had this happen two times in the past with two different vehicles.

The first time was rear lights in one of our lights, which never really needed done. We had like the 50 lights in it, and I guess 2 were out, so they replaced them. Didn’t talk to us, just did it and billed us for it. I argued and let them know they didn’t talk to us before hand, and thankfully they gave us the money back.

The next time, it was a different vehicle that used a single headlight that controlled the high beam and low beam in one bulb. We had a wiring issue that we were aware. The low beam worked, but the high beam did not. Again, they changed the head light without asking us. More over, the light STILL did not work. So they either changed the light and didn’t check if it worked OR seen it still didn’t work and billed us anyways, without asking us before hand. Again, I had to argue because the light still didn’t work and we weren’t asked for it before hand.

Both times, it was JUST an oil change we requested, and nothing else. They must be desperate for money if this is what they are doing.

Now the most recent issue. We got new winter tires last year purchased and installed there, and this year got new winter tires at a different mechanic. Turns out, they didn’t properly weigh the tires, screw the bolts in properly, and because of this the tires are more worn on the edges and we have to add a new thread (or whatever they’re called - see in the picture).

So easily the worst mechanics and customer service I’ve ever seen before, for ANY business. Something tells me that the only people that are leaving good reviews are those related or know the mechanics or owners. Because if something bad happened once, sure, it may have just been bad luck. Twice? Okay but if it’s the same guy doing it, maybe that’s what the problem is It was someone else though. Three times? That’s just a joke.

If you REALLY want a good mechanic, waste your time and gas to go into London, Goderich, or literally anywhere else. Maybe it’s just the training they do or the people they hire, but nevertheless, it’s still a business with LOTS of issues. I’m never going there again and I’ve let others know of my experiences there, some with similar experience, and some that have never been there before.

Long story short: Only go to HMP if you have lots of extra cash you want to dump into you vehicle unknowingly and carelessly. If you really want one thing done, go somewhere else because one thing to an HMP mechanic means at least 2 or more things.

I spoke to justin over the phone once he advised with the different trucks they had with the 5.3l. Next thing you know i end up at the dealer buying a brand new 2016 chevy silverado. Justin made the deal extremely easy. Unlike any other dealer i went to, he made me feel like i was making the right choice. This was my first purchase from HMP, but definitely not my last vehicle from HMP. Justin yet again thanks so much for everything!

Excellent service. Saw ad in newspaper for a 2015 Cadillac ATS that I asked if I could test drive. I got to the dealership just at closing and not only did he wait for me, but actually took the car out of the showroom for me to test drive. I liked the car, price and service so much, I bought it.
