Long waits. Small restaurant. Great food. Better pie. Spectacular service. If you don't have the time to wait for a table don't bring your bad attitude. Smile and enjoy this lovely gem
great service. yummy food. child friendly. awesome place. friendly people. worth to try!!!
Great place for home cooked style meal.
Their Hilltop burger is really something one has to experience. It is that good.
Busy place for a reason. Highly recommended.
the food is ok, service is great. cool retro feel. wish food was higher quality but it's fine for a nosh. all food made to order-don't be in a rush. they handle kids great (so far as i have seen).
Cozy, warm, and nice place to visit. I tried their club sandwich and friesit's very good. Service's very friendly. Did you Hilltop Cafe has become a well known cafe with many television and films being shot there? A&E's Bates Motel was being filmed there.
Always awesome food and great service. Best pie ever!!! Always busy so prepaid to wait 15 -20 min. But it's worth the wait
Amazing diner experience. Truly nothing else like it in the lower mainland. Be prepared for a wait, and be prepared for that wait to be worth it.
Not too bad as far as pricing either. Breakfast for 3 including extra sides and coffee came to about $50.
Quaint little restaurant with lots of history. You need to get there early because it's super popular. Huge servings and interesting menu (try the apple fritter sandwich). Really friendly staff who make you feel welcome!
Awesome food, generous portions, efficient, friendly service and a cool history. (It started as a restaurant and motel in 1946.) Their sign outside says they are not a fast food establishment so, if you're in a hurry, please come back when you can enjoy the Hilltop dining experience. That being said, we've never had to wait long for service or our food, even though they were full to the brim and had to take names for a wait list. Good old fashioned milk shakes in the tall glasses you'd expect in a 50's style diner, FABULOUS fries and gravy, and pies are their specialty. By the slice or a whole pie to take home; they have the standard lemon meringue, banana cream, flapper.. but they also have interesting choices like salted caramel pumpkin, eclair, blackberry peach, apple raspberry, chocolate peanut butter cheesecake They sell out quickly and some you need to pre-order, so I'd recommend a call a day or two ahead so you won't be disappointed if you want to take home a whole pie.
Cute little stop. Has some good food. Loved the flapper pie. Its pies are awesome. Open until 2:30 pm every day.
Best club sandwich, loved the soup, I recommend this place like no other, awesome guys. Old dinner look love it.
Very popular old school greasy spoon style diner. Expect line-ups on the weekends and not a lot of room to wait inside especially on a cold day. Excellent breakfast and burgers as well as homemade pies and portions are large. Friendly staff and good service considering how busy they are.
Go before church lets out on Sundays to avoid lineups at breakfast. Before 10 AM is pretty safe. Great food. Great service. Interesting history to discover. Ask to the book about the various films and shows shot here. X-Files and Butterfly Effect in particular.
Our favorite place to eat. Great home cooked style menu, friendly staff. We drive from Surrey to eat here. You gotta eat here!
One of the Best Burgers around..Period..Best Homemade Pies as advertised on the sign. A very good reason to get off the highway in Abbottsford and take the old Fraser highway. A feel like Home kinda vibe with some amazing history in the walls. Featured in some famous movies and shows on television, have a look at the autograph wall and see if you can conquer the Everest Burger and have your claim to fame
