We had my birthday dinner here. We really liked the server and atmosphere. The food was okay and we enjoyed the fireplace. Note that there are two menus one for the restaurant that seemed to be in the same place and higher than the bistro which we chose. Take a flashlight if arriving at night, hard to locate signs and which door to enter through. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here.

We had such a romantic anniversary in the bistro. Our dinner was decadent and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Very pricy. The menu that is not tastings leaves much wanted and feels somewhat incomplete while the tastings menu does. Generally very good food, wine and view. $95 for a tastings menu such as that one though feels a little much.

I had a wonderful time. The food was incredible, the staff was very friendly, the rooms and grounds were so lovely. If you're looking for a relaxing culinary getaway, I highly recommend it!

Amazing experience to be in this historic bucolic spot. Enchanting. The cuisine was spectacularly memorable. Spectacularly memorable thank you Chef Marcel. Definitely warrants a repeat visit. We will be back.

Lovely place for those who can afford to stay here. I usually just walk through the grounds dreaming about a day where I might afford a night or two here, so I can't comment on the amenities. Very English in style, in a comfortable, cozy way with a lovely view of the Ganges harbour.

Beautiful spot on the water. Each room is a little different, but they all lead down the paths to romantic spots overlooking the beautiful bay. The food here is excellent as well, and having a drink on the patio is a wonderful way to spend the end of a day.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Hastings House. We are seasoned travelers and love boutique accommodation. The suite was unpretentious but beautiful nestled amongst the trees and evening owl calls. The early morning muffin delivery allowed us time in the suite before we were ready to go to the breakfast room, which was perfection. Dinner at the Bistro was spectacular - the food, service and hearth. The spa service was provided by an experienced practitioner and worked at a deeper level to provide worthwhile rejuvenation and time out.
We look forward to returning and hope that you find this place as spectacular as we did.
