Terrible service both locations. I used to be a loyal Holt Renfrew customer but sadly many of the great brands ( Lanvin, To Boot, Cucinelli, Loro Piana) were taken over by Harry Rosen, which is a shame because for years the service has been horrible in both locations. 90% of the time the sales people look you over and walk away, when you ask for service they treat you like your inconveniencing them. Last week I went in wearing jeans, Lanvins, my Rolex and a T Shirt and two salespeople looked me over and walked away. Even after I bought a pair of $500 shoes was treated as an inconvenience. Let alone when my girlfriend went back to pick them up and was also snubbed. HORRIBLE SERVICE... maybe I'll have to put on a Tom Ford suit and come in with an entourage to be taken seriously.

I was training at the gym the day before so I was quite sore and wasn't in the mood to climb the the broken escalators that were outside the store. So I went into Harry Rosen to use theirs. I was wearing casual clothes. Maybe I looked like a troublemaker, but I found it a bit creepy and quite threatening that an employee took one look at me and followed me up the escalator. Once I got to the higher level I headed over to the exit. I look back to the stalker-employee and see him with three other coworkers all staring at me.
I think they woukd have stopped me if i even so much as glanced in the general direction of that ofor their wallets. Wasn't a pleasant experience.

My husband is one of those people who put on the perfect shirt, but the sleeves are too long but the fit is good, or the chest is too big but the arms are perfect, etc. We went into Harry Rosen, and the entire experience was spectacular! I went back in with my bridesmen several months later to pick out ties, etc for our wedding - and the service was beyond exceptional. They were incredibly flexible, gave us a lot of choices, and made us feel not only comfortable but defined a great experience for all of us. The quality is worth the price!

Harry Rosen at the Core is slowly becoming my go-to place for business attire. I got my first tailored suit there about a year ago, and have recently found their own brand of Harry Rosen shirts to fit me perfectly, so I plan on getting more. The guy I deal with, Scott, really takes the time to get to know my clothing needs. They really know their stuff on sizes, and even recommends getting off-the-rack clothes tailored to fit you better. If you can afford it, I highly recommend you try some of their clothes for fit.

I have been to Harry Rosen in both Chinook Mall and The Core in Calgary now looking for new shoes. Both times I have gone in dressed in plain jeans, a ball cap and a regular t-shirt and both times I have been ignored and looked right past by sales people while browsing shoes.

To the credit or Harry Rosen in the Core, when I first got in and was looking there was ONE woman who asked if she could help. I let her know I was going to browse quickly first and would let her know. She was unfortunately pulled away by another customer who was looking for her. After that, not another employee talked to me and even went as far to walk past me while I was holding a shoe to talk with another customer to offer them help.

Harry Rosen is the type of store that thinks it's upscale, but any decent establishment wouldn't look down their nose at someone not wearing high end brands while shopping. I took my business to Brooks Brothers instead and bought a $500 pair of shoes within a matter of 15 minutes. Not a bad sale really.

Avoid knock off stores in the mall like Harry Rosen. Save your time and go to a store where the appreciate buisness from every customer. Brooks Brothers, O'Connors and Nordstrom have all provided better service and have equally as good of quality of menswear.
