Food Intuition is a catering business that provides a number of services to the HRM and beyond. Our focus is on sourcing as much produce, grains, meats, fish, poultry etc. from local farmers and businesses.
Food Intuition provides a pre-made meal service called Community Supported Meals which are individually portioned and made fresh from the most local, spray-free, and organic ingredients available. Our product is sourced locally and inspired to fit the seasons. Each meal is produced by culinary professionals with a nutritional background creating healthy whole food meals and snacks with the highest quality ingredients.
Deliveries are on every Monday to your home, office or pick up location. The order deadline is on Thursdays at 5 pm.

Meet who is behind Food Intuition!
My name is Kim MacPherson and I am the owner/founder of Food Intuition! I was born and raised in South-western, Ontario on a crop farm in the country. Ever since I was a little girl I loved to play in the garden and help my mom with preparing meals in the kitchen. I learned a lot from her at a young age, and something that has always stood out in my mind was the way food brought people together. We are a large family, and getting everyone in the same room only happened around the dinner table. I was often given the chore of picking the Swiss chard or beans from the garden for the nights meal. This is where my journey in the food world began.
After graduating culinary school at 19, I worked in a few high-end restaurants before moving home to start my first catering business. I have always loved the social aspect of food, and catering events was my favourite way to be apart of it all. Running my own business at age 21 gave me a lot of experience and insight to what I was meant to do for the rest of my life. Although at the time I knew I still had a lot to learn and wasn`t ready to stay put just yet. I packed my things and moved to Vancouver, B.C. In this city I was introduced to a side of food that I had yet to explore, which was nutrition. Being physically fit and wanting to give my body the best, I experimented with different diets to see how I would respond. This lead me to enroll in school to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and start combining my love for food with this new passion of health and wellness. I have since learned how important each of these components are in our daily lives and how connected our bodies are in mind, body and spirit. Knowing how to cook, and learning about the benefits of eating local, seasonal food has allowed me to create a stronger relationship with my food. And this is what I want to share with you. It was on an adventure across Canada with my partner that we stumbled upon this beautiful area in Nova Scotia. We weren`t planning on settling anywhere any time soon, but then we fell in love with this province, the people and the atmosphere. It is here in Musquodoboit Harbour that we have decided to call home! I have a lot planned for my life here in Nova Scotia, and I am excited to connect with more people that do what they love!
