Today marks 8 years with this guy. 😍💕 Alex and I started dating in college back in Ottawa. Since then, we've moved to Edmonton together and now live just outside of the city on a cool acreage. 🌲🔥 We have a few cute photos together that make us look "normal" (like the first one here). But we are far from it. 😅 We're basically just two dorks in love, going on adventures, taking weird selfies and having fun (swipe for examples 😝). Today, I'm taking half the day off and we are going to see Fantastic Beasts (finally!) 🐉, probably gonna have dinner somewhere cool and just hanging out. And tomorrow - we go get our Christmas tree! 🎄 Check out my stories to creep on our activities today!

Heading out to Jasper next weekend (Dec 8th-9th) with Vanessa! We both needed a good mountain fix so road trip!! I met Meg and Jeff for their engagement session at Dawson Park on a snowy Saturday afternoon. It was chilly, and we laughed about doing jumping jacks to warm up!
After walking around Dawson Park for a bit, we warmed up (except for the fingers haha). It was so great to be back at this park since it’s right across the street where I used to live – and funny enough, where Meg grew up. So not only is this park just a pretty location near the North Saskatchewan River, but it also had some sentimental value for her.
Dawson Park is also a dog park, so many puppies in cute coats running around is never a bad thing either. ;)
We finished the session UNDER and then ON the classic blue bridge, also known as Dawson bridge!

Here’s a sneak peek of Meg and Jeff’s snowy engagement session this past Sunday! We photographed this at Dawson park, by the “blue bridge” near downtown Edmonton. It was so cool to walk around that park again as Alex and I lived there for 2 years, 2 years ago! And turns out, Meg grew up just a couple houses down too! Small world ☺️✌🏻

Happy Sunday friends! 🌞 What are you up to today? It's finally sunny here for the first time in a week, so I'm enjoying my coffee by a sunny window. Then I'm finishing everything up for my students in the Full-Time Wedding Photog Course that starts tomorrow! Woohoo!

Shooting a wedding at 4700ft and getting a helicopter ride was one of the coolest things I've done and I'd love for you to take a peek at it! 😁

You might remember earlier this year, I was having troubles with my website being too large?! 😳
I mean it's not necessarily a bad thing to happen, it just means I had too many awesome photos and weddings to share on my blog! ;) 😍🤩
But, that meant I couldn't post anymore until I got that fixed WELL, not that wedding season and fall is over, I finally had the time to look into it and today it's fixed! ✨

In the spirit of Halloween here's a corpse bride shoot Vanessa and I did last week! 🎃 It was a little hard to convince this living dead bride to come out let up take her photo, but we offered to help her keep looking for her corpse groom, so she agreed. 👻

Emilie is phenomenal! She’s so easy to work with! She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and she did a wonderful job! She’s flexible and willing to make anything work! She guided us through our engagement photos as we had never done anything like that before! It was fun! I would recommend Emilie to anyone she’s fantastic!! � thank you so much Emilie and good luck on your future endeavours!

Emilie was phenomenal for our wedding in Jasper this September. She is easy to work with and very calm. She braved the cold and got some fantastic shots that we will cherish forever. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an incredible photographer.

Emilie is an amazing photographer! She was a joy to work with throughout our whole wedding and leading up to the wedding. She was flexible in designing a wedding package that worked for us, and is so friendly and made us feel very at ease during our engagement shoot and wedding day. One of the many things I love about her photographs is the way she uses natural lighting- no matter the time of day, every photograph looks beautiful. She was also very quick to get us our edited photos! Emilie, thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job and for our beautiful photos! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Working with Emilie was amazing! she was incredibly friendly and professional!
I researched a lot of photographers before we choose to hire Emilie Photography for our wedding photographer! She was not pushy in any way (something I admire especially in todays economy in Alberta-I found a lot of photographers we emailed were extremely pushy), I loved her style and the way she uses natural lighting! She got all the shots we wanted for our engagement and wedding photos! we received everything in a timely manner! (a lot quicker then most photographers quoted for a time frame).
We had our wedding at the end of November were sunlight leaves early and our ceremony may of been later then should of been but never once did we feel super rushed to get moving for family and bridal party formals, even if she was stressed or panicked about how much sunlight was left we couldn't tell! and managed to get all the photos in that we really wanted (fr4om taking off on a snowmobile, to nighttime long exposure shots with sparklers!). Not only that but with my husband and I choosing to do outdoor ceremony and photos (including outside nighttime photos) mid winter! she Jumped at the chance to be our photographer and layered up and embraced the winter with us!!
From our very first email communications we knew we wanted to hire her!! And we are more then happy we did!response / report this review -

Emilie was amazing to work with for our engagement and wedding photos! All the photos were gorgeous, and I was so impressed with the photos she captured of our toddler (he never stays still so it's hard to do!) Emilie was just so friendly, easygoing, always responded quickly, showed up early and prepared, and made it fun and easy to pose for photos. Thank you for capturing such beautiful photos for us!

Émilie was amazing to work with - she listens to everything you have to say and treats you like a friend. One of my favourite qualities is her ability to go with the flow. We were able to go through the day at our own pace and not once did we feel like we were being pushed to get everything done quicker for the next shot. Her style highlights the natural beauty of the moment as well as the environment, and the results are breathtaking. With her combined talent and ability to make you feel at ease, I highly recommend Emilie Photography.

Where do I even get started?! I LOVED Emilie. She's bubbly, energetic and so much fun to work with. I had a sweetheart shoot with my boyfriend and I felt comfortable right away, she knew exactly what she was doing. I was worried that we wouldn't know how to pose and the pictures would look awkward but she guided us through the whole process. It was a breeze and lots of fun.
When I finally got to see the pictures I was overwhelmed with joy. They were beautiful and they really captured our emotions. I felt, and feel beautiful in my pictures. I think they are some of the most beautiful pictures I have and they mean a lot to me. I loved that she used natural light. For any event or wedding or shoot you have in mind, I think you should look into working with her. She's fantastic and I promise you will love her work!response / report this review -
