1000% read all of these reviews and do not take them as a grain of salt. Avoid this place.

I have been using Doctors Plus Medical Centre on MAIN STREET for years and have been very happy with how they work. I on and off visited this location, east Airdrie, for pill refills ect. however after my last experience I will never be returning.

After being in pain 2 days prior I went into the walk in at this clinic to see a doctor. My symptoms being: sore throat, tired, weak, hot then cold as well as having trouble keeping food down. This doctor looked down my throat, winced, and said "Your throat does not look good" he then swabbed my throat for strep throat and left me with no medication for 2 days until my results came back in. I've had strep and tonsillitis many times before and each time they have immediately prescribed antibiotics and told me that if they call me to stop using them due to my results coming back as not being strep. I figured since I hadn't had strep for a few years this may have changed and that i'd wait. I left the doctors being told I have Strep Throat AND Stomach Flu. Within this 48 hour wait for my results the pain in my throat became worse, I was losing sleep due to the pain, as well as both my ears became blocked (stabbing pain, deafness in both ect.) I called in within 24 hours to update them on the fact my ears were now so bad I could not hear and all I was told was "Your results won't be back for another 24 hours." no offer to come in, no offer to pass the info to the doctor or anything. I called the next morning at 9AM, at this point practically begging for my results so I can get my medication to which the lady replied "Theyre in but you have to wait for the doctor to review them and he isn't in until 12PM" I totally understood and all I asked was for them to ask him to review them first thing and to give me a call back either way which they assured they would. By 2PM I heard nothing back so I called once again for the lady to bluntly tell me "They're negative" I asked her to confirm if the results being negative is what she said due to the fact 1 I was in disbelief after everything that they were negative and 2 because I couldn't hear properly and thought I possibly heard wrong. After she confirmed they were negative I went into the doctors clinic. This is where their customer service became EXTREMELY unprofessional, I had been patient for 3 days now. I received no call with no results I had to chase for myself while in lots of pain and had not complained once. Wouldn't it be common sense to contact a patient that has negative results and are in this much pain to ask them to come back to be re-diagnosed??? The lady behind the counter was blunt I had to ask to speak to the doctor rather than being offered to be put down as a walk in, I had to have my boyfriend tell me everything she was saying not due to me being rude or anything but purely because I now had lost 95% hearing in both my ears and she spoke very quietly. My boyfriend then began to get annoyed at the lack of help I had received and said "Anyone can look down her throat and see the amount of pain she is in, let us speak to a doctor" after this the receptionist said yes and she went into the back. I was gobsmacked when another receptionist came back and began giving us a speech on how it doesn't take any effort to be nice and that we made the other girl cry. What???? This completely blew me away. We then had a patient in the waiting room begin to start to yell at us due to our "rudeness"... I had no idea asking to speak to a doctor after all of this inconvenience was being rude. Seeing that nothing was going to be done at this clinic I asked for my results printed and headed over to the main street location. They had us in to see a doctor within 10 minutes and the doctor was absolutely blown away at the state I had been left in by this other clinic. He said al though the results are negative he was treating me for strep throat anyway due to the fact the results sometimes come back wrong and all my symptoms point to strep throat.

Takes days to get through on the phone, than all the front desk does is blame everyone else for things not being completed... Worst experience I’ve ever had with a “Medical Professional Clinic” and its not getting better.

Horrible. Just horrible. Not enough doctors on staff and wait times are horrible. They just let 4 people in ahead of my daughter. So ridiculous!

don’t recommend going here. i was told there were 2 people ahead of me 3 times. i had counted 8 people go in and out. just wanted to see what sickness i had but they decided to take their sweet time doing absolutely nothing. so if you’re looking at wasting 3 hours of your day go here.

The doctor was extremely rude and late for our appointment. I told him I needed to reschedule our 'meet and greet' as I had another appointment I needed to go to and he told me to "go find a family doctor elsewhere". What a joke! Completely unprofessional. Go to a different clinic.

A very professional Doctor who cares and helps out their patient. Appreciate the doctor takes time to understand what aches our body and rush us to nearest urgent care when needed. Treats each patient with respect starting from the time we step into the clinic to register at the front counter and let us know when it is our turn next to see the doctor.

We practically walked right in - no wait at all! The team at the front had us laughing and at ease. This is my new go-to clinic. Professional and skilled staff.

Only giving a 1 because 0 isn't an option. Waited FOREVER for walk in while people who came after me got in before me. On top of that the air conditioning was fill blasts and it was cold and rainy outside; I had my winter jacket on and was freezing the whole time. The front desk seemed concerned with doing anything but giving good customer service. Just terrible. Don't waste your time.

Totally wasted time with my 21months old baby. A male receptionist does not know his job. We didn't even see a doctor. He just mixed up the waiting list then asked us wait 1 more hour!! 3 hours waiting time with small one. Not happy at all.

Great experience today! The front staff were great. They immediately offered my kids a little treat from the treat box and took us back right away (we were even walk ins)
The doctor that saw my kids (Adam) was incredible with them and so friendly!
Probably the best walk in experience we have had.

Do not waste you're time going here. You will spend upwards of two hours for nothing. This place has regular appointments and walk ins. The walk ins get pushed aside so you think two people are ahead of you and you will be seen soon... NO you wait two hours and have to leave because they take to effing long!!!

Dr. Sana-Ara Ahmed is amazing. She took the time to listen my concerns rather then a quick prescription and out the door. In the 15 years I have been dealing with chronic pain and the dozens of doctors I have seen, she is hands down the best. Thank you.
