Another Toronto firm advised me not to resign in Sept’17. This took a toll on me. My doctor suggested I take 6 weeks off work which turned into a year. In Sept’18, after learning my employer completely changed my role upon my expected return, the law firm I hired was not particularly helpful. My anxieties intensified & led to a continued leave of absence. In Jan’19, I was still recovering from the shock & despair that impacted me, from my then employer of 28+ years.
