After having 2 bikes stolen, I went to Cyclemotive to find replacements and get back on the road. Initial service from sales seemed good, but that quickly slowed and worsened after deposits were paid and my hands were tied to carry on with the transaction (due to it being an insurance claim).
Response time and customer service steadily declined throughout the process, culminating in me having to write a very pointed email outlining all of the issues with the bikes that were now in my possession. The email found its way to manager who, when I went in to meet with him and have the issues resolved, patronized me by asking if "writing that email made me feel better?".
Needless to say, I vehemently recommend my friends (and strangers) take their business elsewhere. Even if I got a flat right outside of their shop, I'd still walk to the next closest shop before I bought a tube from them.
If you are brave enough to purchase a bike from them, I recommend checking everything thoroughly before you actually go for a ride. The number of loose bolts/nuts and poorly assembled pieces on both of the bikes we bought was staggering.
To this day, I'm still reminded of their poor service/customer care by the seam in my rim (that shudders every time I brake) because they didn't care to replace the one that came on my bike.
    Would not recommend.

I would have given a 0 star rating if possible. Boughta bike from them during the toronto bike expo. Within 20 minutes of riding the right pedal came lose striping the threads in the crank arm. I called and they said they would fix it and it would be ready to ride that day (I asked since I was going riding for the weekend in London.

I got there and instead of replacing the arm or crankset they decided to redo the threads so i had to wait 3 hours in toronto for this to be done instead of the 20 minutes a new crankset should take.

After that was finished they said I would have to wait a full 24 hours to ride for the locktite to set.

Once again upon riding into the trail the crank arm threads fail. This time they said they'd mail me a new crankset that I could instal myseld so im not constantly driving to Toronto from St. Catharines. I've been waiting almost 2 weeks now and still nothing in the mail. Shipping from toronto should only take 2-4 days at most.

So now after buying a 4000$ bike from them that I have had for a month, I'm still unable to ride it.

I purchased my Giant Rapid earlier on during the course of the year and have been meaning to write a proper review for sometime now.

Service: Everyone from the owner to the sales team know their stuff. I really appreciated the time/energy that was spent on getting fit/sized for my bike. As a consumer, I am pretty vocal about anything that I am not completely "ok" with and they were accommodating every step of the way.

Pricing: Based on my homework, I think they are pretty competitive. Accessories are at par with online prices or sometimes cheaper. Unlike my girlfriend, I prefer to touch something before I buy it.

Selection/Quality: I have ridden well over 500km on my bike since May and I haven't had any problems. Most of the basic components on my bike have been upgraded between now and then (saddle, peddles, mud guardetc.) and I haven't had any issues with the third party stuff either.

I have checked out most of the "real" bike shops between Toronto and Burlington and as you can probably tell, I am a fan. Highly recommend this place.

I attempted to bring my bike to Cyclemotive for repair. I live and work in the neighbourhood and wanted to support local. This is not my first negative experience with Cyclemotive. I felt I should give it another chance.

They really need to improve their customer service skills here. It may be a high-end bike shop, but their customer service really STINKS. It's appalling how bad it is.

As soon as I entered the shop, I was met with horrible customer service. I was told immediately that they would not touch my bike and did not offer any helpful solutions or suggestions. The staff member I was dealing was condescending, curt and downright rude.

As an owner and worker of a retail business, this was completely unacceptable. I would not want any of my staff to be representing my shop in this manner. The owner should be embarrassed at how their shop is being represented.

I took my business somewhere else and will DEFINITELY NOT be coming back or recommending Cyclemotive.

I had amazing service from Vince here. Was planning a bike trip and got a flat tire on my way out of the city. Not only did Vince fix the flat but he also checked out the safety of our entire operation and was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be coming back here. Thank you Cyclemotive!!

The team, products, and services are great. I ordered a Bianchi bike, and it's delivered earlier than I thought. I'm happy with my bike & services, and suggest Cyclemotive to the bicycle lovers.

Went in with a broken chain on my bike looking to replace it. When I purchased a chain I asked if I could use a tool from their shop to install it. They told me I cannot use their tool, and that I would have to buy one. When I bought I tool I was going to install the chain, but they told me I would have to leave the store to do so. The staff were friendly enough but not exactly helpful.

Incredible staff, products and service. Ask for Assif, the guy is amazing. I purchased a road bike a few years back that was always causing me discomfort. He took his time with me to help me find the right gear for my body type and fitted me properly to my bike. I purchased new saddle, seat post, road bike shoes, and upgraded my wheels & tires. My bike is finally where I want it to be, and its never been as comfortable. Couldn't be happier. Will be a returning customer.

Guys are really great here. Respond to emails very quickly, can't do enough to help you when you're in the shop. Good product and will get anything you want in your size quickly. Will definitely continue to buy from them and would recommend to anyone.

Purchased a bike for $3000 from the bike show. Sales guy was nice. I need to call and pick the bike up since it needs some adjustments. HOWEVER, stupid phone number always goes straight to voice mail! WTF. So I left a VM and am waiting for their call back. Buy a $3000 bike and I can't even talk to anyone to schedule to pick it up?!!! It's the same phone number on the web site, business card and sales receipt. I also sent them an email. I will write another review later once I actually hear back from them. So far I'm disappointed and pissed off.

Update - They have been having issues with their phone system which is why their voice mail kept on picking up. Lately when I've called I've gotten a live voice so I'm very happy about that.
I picked up my bike last weekend. Rear brakes were squealing louder than I've ever heard from disc brakes. I told the tech who was very nice but essentially made me feel like this is the first bike I've ever owned in my life and indicated that it wasn't a big deal. I asked him to ride the bike - he wouldn't. Then he finally tested the brakes on the stand and said that's "not normal". He took the rear wheel into the back for 10 minutes and said it's fixed. I test rode it again, quieter but not much better. They said to ride it and take it back if required. Days later I rode it - the squealing sounds like a fire truck horn. Pretty sure I woke up a few babies and animals when trying to bed the brakes. I cleaned the disc and brake pads - pads were completely black. Re-installed - still loud as hell. Bike store figures the pads are contaminated - no kidding! - and they said to go in to most likely change them. They've been very nice in all this but I still don't have a bike that I'm satisfied with. I'll give an update next week.

I don't typically write reviews, but I have been so frustrated with Cyclemotive that I feel compelled to do so. I have had a really unfortunate experience dealing with them. I ordered a Bern helmet back in September and it never arrived -- 6 months after the order. Throughout the process, I was informed that I would receive regular updates on my order, but they weren't forthcoming. Whenever I asked, a new date for the delivery of my helmet was proposed (October, then December, then March). I was also told that I could only have a different helmet from the one that I ordered because their suppliers had changed. There was no apparent interest in doing anything to satisfy my order or to do anything other than ask me to wait longer. I found the process so frustrating that I have ultimately asked for a refund. Perhaps they are better with other products, but the customer service and my experience with Cylcemotive was perhaps the worst I've experienced to date.

I had quite a good experience. Bought a bike, made a deal with the guy that sold it to me that if i didn't like it in a week, i could return it for a full refund no questions asked. Bought a new bike from them the next day and I'm loving it. Got the "student discount," happy customer and will go back for uprades/new purchases

After spending lots of time in Cyclemotive, a few things came apparent to me. The main goal of basically everyone working at the store is to keep you as happy as you can be on the perfect bike. All of the sales staff are willing to spend lots of time talking to you about the riding you want to be doing, the specific features of a bike you're looking for, and will compare models to no end to make sure you understand what you're looking at. The owners of the store clearly have a large background in cycling and are willing to answer every possible question you can come up with. After spending several weeks deciding on a new mountain bike, with the advice of Assif and Jab, I ended up leaving the store with a beautiful new giant Anthem and have nothing but good things to say.

Basically the bottom line is, if you're looking for a new bike, or even just have a few questions, the staff at Cyclemotive will do anything they can to make sure you're leaving the store happy and informed!
