In 2013 my wife and I moved into our home, we live in the county of leduc. We phoned cottage computers to install xplornet internet into our home. They did, and timeline was quick, which was great. The service technician from cottage computers, did a poor job. He ran the wire along the siding of my home without straping it. Very poor install. Then once we had the internet from xplornet which was installed by cottage computers, the performance was very poor. If it did work, it was so bad. We phoned xplorent several times, after several complaints they scheduled a technician from cottage computers to look fix the problem. The technician never showed for the scheduled day. By this time or free time trial period with explorer had ended. The internet service was so bad that we had no choice to cancel it. Since we where outside our free trial time, we got stuck with a $450.00 cancellation fee. So basically we got stuck with a install fee, cancellation fee, on month internet fee, and disconnect fee. It added up to be about a $800.00 touch just for non functioning internet for one month. I highly don't recommend xplorent, installers cottage computers. They left us high and dry. I do know that cottage computers doesn't supply the internet, how ever they get contrats from xplornet to install them. In my expernice there are several better options. I highly advice you to research them.

    About 2008

My computer had some serious malfunction, so I brought it in for them to look at. At work, I received a call that went something like this " Oh, you are not going to like what I have to tell you. Your motherboard is fried. And to replace that motherboard, if you can find it, would be about $600." The motherboard that I chose was a Lambordini of its type, and it just seemed suspicious that after 2 years of use maybe, it would be "fried". So I took it to another shop. Somehow a USB port failed. Cost to cut the wire by the tech $15.
