I honestly cannot believe how well the rod worked. We have a lot of water issues with one being the horrible smell of our hot water. This rod was
recommend by a water treatment professional. We installed it ourselves which was very easy to do. 24 hours later there is absolutely no smell to our water. I do not write very many reviews but this one I felt compelled to do for anyone looking to get rid of foul water smell it is a must!!!!!

After months of trying to figure why my hot water smelled like rotten eggs, I was recommended this anode by a plumber. This thing works! Instructions were clear, and installation was simple. Pls note that you will need a socket 1-3/16 to install the anode, which is not a standard size.
I recommend without hesitation.

Corro Protec doesn’t work at all. Days later and my hot water smells just as horrible. Wonder if it’s even protecting my water heater from corrosion… huge waste of $150. Extremely dissatisfied.

Our water is very hard! We had a new hot water tank put in 3 months prior to installing the Corro-Protec unit. Our hot water didn’t have any bad smell, we had a lot of air/gas pockets on out hot water faucets. As soon as I installed the new unit the problem was gone. That fast. The 3 month old anode that I took out had an incredible amount of corrosion already!! The Corro-Protec is a great product and quite easy to install.

Delivered quickly, and installation was simple……just as advertised. When I removed the existing magnesium anode, it was over half gone, and had calcified as well. That was after only 6 months in use. I’m looking forward to not having to think about changing it anymore. Highly recommend this product!!
