    Super friendly staff! Clean rooms, with comfortable beds. Rooms have balconies. Would definitely come back again!

    Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. We were disappointed that the pool was much too cold and the hot tub wasn't functioning properly. The hot tub was basically the temperature that the pool should have been. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

    Room was basic, a little dated in the look. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Perfect for resting between event days. Food at the restaurant was tasty, and the lady serving brealfast was super friendly and upbeat. A good way to start each day.

    Clean Hotel, friendly staff. Location worked well for my wife and I also. Only complaints would be the hot tub is always just warm. We've stayed at the Clarion on three different occasions and it's been the same every time. As well had to go to 4 different floors to find an ice machine that actually worked. Other then that for the price is a good hotel.

    Nice space, Rooms were pretty clean. Carpet had a couple of stains. Linens were all very white and clean. Attended a function and the food was excellent.

    I'm surprised by the negative reviews. It was great for myself, my wife and our friend who had just spent time in drumheller. We stayed earlier this past week and the hotel clerk was very accomodating when we arrived. Allowed us to have a 2 queen room vs the king bed. Their rooms are normal size and comfortable. The only reason I gave one less of a star was that one of the beds was extremely squeaky and would wake us up at night. I failed to pass that onto the clerk after we left. Will return for sure!

    Comfortable, friendly staff. Needed to be aired out for a bit as it was quite muggy and smelt musty when we walked in. Needed to ask for a fan as there wasn't much air flow. Needs to be vacuumed better as the edges along the walls were filthy and under the furniture. They only clean after the third day but willing to do it more if requested. Plenty of linens. Low water flow but expected in hotels. Balcony with city views. Was right on highway 1 so a little noisy but convenient. Had pool and hot tub for the kids. Had restaurant and room service which seems reasonably priced but not sure how good as we didn't eat here.

    Amenities need major revamp. Bathtubs are are old and stained or paint chipping. We got our room and the toilet was constantly flushing from the time we came in. We tried to fix it and it didn't work. We were put in a different room. The sink in the second room was totally clogged, couldn't even brush my teeth there so brushed them in the tub.
    Customer service was excellent, at check out we told the reception and got breakfast vouchers and apologies. Great friendly and helpful staff. But I won't return here due to room condition.

    The Clarion exceeded my expectations as I was only looking for a place to sleep that was pet friendly for one night (with a medium sized dog approximately 55lbs), without any outrageous expectations. The staff upon check in and check out were exceptionally friendly towards myself and my four legged companion which made it easier for me to bring her along with me. I felt very welcomed compared to other hotel experiences I've had I'm the past. The only floor pets were allowed was the first floor, which was fine for us because it I clouded a 'balcony' door which led us straight to the parking lot/small grassed areas. This made it easier for me to do random morning doggy potty trips because she didn't have to go far to eliminate herself. The room was perfectly clean. I had no concerns with cleanliness I'm the room, lobby, or restaurant on site. Although my room was right off the parking lot, the blackout curtains provided adequate shade from sun as well as car lights and there wasn't any problems with noises throughout my short stay; even though the hotel is right next to the busy 16th avenue/hwy 2. I would gladly stay there again, especially with any dogs I may be travelling with.

    I was taking a business class and was put in this hotel for 3 weeks so I got to know it very fast. Well I've stayed in some low budget hotels and motels and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had!!! 98% of the staff I encountered during my long terrible stay was miserable, unhappy and just flat out rude!!! This goes for the restaurant as well the food wasn't to bad but man the service in there was the worst and made it extremely uncomfortable!! I would avoid it when I could because of how rude all the servers are. They really don't care about their customers especially the older brunette lady!! Worst attitudes I've encountered in the service/hospitality industry. I honestly recommend NEVER staying in this hotel. It's not well kept and the beds are HORRIBLE!! very unfriendly staff and extremely outdated and smelly!!

    The Clarion hotel in Calgary had an absolutely wonderful staff. Arriving very late at nite and booking on line left us with a few problems and questions. The support given to us by the friendly staff was greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed​. Unfortunately the hotel itself is an outdated, dungy building. The staff does a good job keeping up with cleanliness of the building but the stained carpet and disgusting permanent stained bathrooms make it hard to want to return for a second stay.

    Get what you pay for, outdated rooms staff is unfriendly and seems under experienced​ for their positions. Didn't eat at the restaurant as the staff there where un helpful and seemed like the food would be as good as the service.

    I just recently stayed at your hotel and felt compelled to share my experience. I stayed in the hotel for 10-14 days and I must say that Marlene is the most attentive, friendly, easy to get along with server I have experienced in a long time. She is very good at her job, knows how to work efficiently and pays attention. It was so lovely to have her serve me to start my day every morning.

    The manager (male) who I am not sure his name. He was always around and ready to help in any way he can, he was incredible. The housekeeping was very good as well. Please make sure to thank them for me.

    Michelle, in the lounge is a different story. The first night I went into the lounge, after a long day, super hungry and all I wnted was a quick bite and then to leave. I went and sat at a table and she saw me as I walked in, didn't say hello or acknowledge me at all. I waited at my table for about 10-12 minutes before she came up and was not that friendly. Everything I asked seemed like a chore for her. I swallowed my annoyance, ate and left. The second night I had a girlfriend join me for a drink and bite to eat. My girlfriend was down in lounge before me and experienced no problems with Michelle. I came and joined her and Michelle was overly nice to me and doing favours. The last night I went down fo a bite to eat and sat at a table. She saw me walk in and decided not to come to my table until I waited about 13 minutes, slammed a menu down and asked what I wanted. I ended up having a conversation with a guy at the bar so moved to the bar to chat with him. When I was down I politely asked her for my bill, and after I did, another guy sitting at the bar asked for his also, and then a 3rd party at bar asked for theirs. So, she got the gentleman his bill, she got the 3rd party their bill, and had me sit and wait and watch her (even though I was the first one to ask for the bill). She processed the other 2 payments, poured drinks for other people sitting at the bar, and Honestly I have not felt bullied like this in a very long time. When people treat others like this, it is clear that they feel threatened in some way. I was not very impressed with this treatment by her and want management to know. She caters to the men in the bar (obviously because they probably tip well) I have been in the hospitality industry for years and her treatment is not acceptable. You treat everyone the same, just as Marlene does. No two people are different. You provide a fast, friendly and inviting experience for the guests. Michelle was an epic fail. Please make sure to let her know this.
    The food was also very good.

    Upon arriving in the evening to check in, the nighttime staff was not friendly and extremely slow. Apparently conversing with other employees was more important than assisting a guest.
    When getting back in the following night the cleaning staff hadn't restocked the coffee in the room. They had also left behind a filthy wet rag used to wipe who knows how many dirty surfaces on the bathroom sink.
    The restaurant downstairs had some of the worst service I've ever encountered and the food was only slightly better than the surface (still couldn't actually eat the burger). I have no idea how this hotel has a 3 star rating.
    Oh and I was advised by another guest in the elevator that the hot tub jets have not been working for a very long time and it is basically just 'a big bath with friends & strangers.'
