A good friend of mine came to you asking for help. All she wanted was some help with gas and food as her family has been devastated by sickness and it was for just enough to get them over the hump until they received their disability payments. You refused them because you said you helped them last year. To me you acted very Unchristian. If it's against regulations, then they must be changed. It sickens me when I hear about churches spending millions on state of the art buildings, mansions, expensive cars and private jets but they fail to do what matters most. That money spent on those things would buy a lot of gas cards and food vouchers and help those who really need it. Call me a heretic if you wish but I believe that faith alone will not save us. Remember the story of the sheep and the goats and Jesus telling the rich young ruler to sell everything and give it to the poor. Those two things alone have convinced me that works are necessary too. Sadly we are following Paul more than Jesus. It was Paul who started the faith only idea, not Jesus. Please read your Bible. It's all there. If atheists can find these things, why can't you? If we fail to get back to helping the down and out, I'm afraid the church will eventually die as the younger generation will not tolerate indifference and will abandon you in droves. Think it cannot happen here. Look no further than Western Europe. They spent money on big fancy buildings in the past which for the most part today are near empty on Sundays and the few people there are mostly old people. I am a 76 year old Progressive Christian who believes you have to move with the times if you wish to survive and grow. In the words of Anglican Bishop John Shelby Spong, people do not need to be born again, they need to grow up.

Ok- So this place is awesome! The lead pastor Derrick Hamre reminds me of one of the original disciples. He is so down to earth and passionate about Jesus. Breath of fresh air. Don't be intimidated by the size- this is the most hospitable church in the entire region.

Awesome church! My wife and I have been a part of this church for 3 years. It took some time for us to meet people but once we started getting more involved it felt more and more like home. Very high quality media, coffee and building. We love Jesus and this has been a great place to meet lots of great people with the same vision for life.
