Random stop thru town, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste and size of the ginger beef and noodles meal I had. It's #37 on the menu. Worth it.

We(10 more people) went there few minutes ago to eat lunch and the first thing that the waiter told us was we needed to pay an extra 10% coz we got the biggest table, we were shocked coz is that how it works? Someone invited people to come to your restaurant and you charge them extra!? We were almost done eating and one of us grabbed a box of tissue from the other table coz he didnt notice the tissue on ours, the lady (i believe she's the owner) came to us and told us that we shouldn't use the box of tissue, grabbed it from the table and threw it back to the other table while laughing sarcastically away from our table. One more scenario happened few months ago i think i was with 8 more co workers, one of us raised her hand so we can order, she was being ignored by the lady so she kept raising her hand then finally the same lady told us impolitely that we should wait for our turn coz they're or she is obviously busy. I TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. 1 star for the food they're good. But "THAT LADY" should freaking change her attitude and she needs to learn not to be rude and not to be mean especially to her customer. Btw we were being nice we didnt do anything to deserve that kind of treatment. So NO, DO NOT COME TO THAT PLACE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED NICELY!

The owners were rude and judgemental I was insulted a person of mine own ancestry came in off the street as he passed by asked for food immediately we were told to leave it's sad fort Macleod is built on native history yet they are treated with less respect just my opinion 😔

I was just at China City yesterday with my parents and siblings. It was the first time all being together since we were kids. Anyways, I ordered a poutine, gosh it was terrible! They used marble cheese instead of cheese curds. It tasted like mushroom soup! I had told the guy I wasn't satisfied with my meal, at first he had no problem telling me I didn't have to pay. I decided to pack it incase someone else will want it. They told me that take out is $6.95, basically the cost of the meal so I declined. Upon leaving, he tells me not to "do that again" and not to come back. I didn't do anything! I had a very upset stomach after.
On a side note, he also had a minor serving us alcohol!! I'm definitely going to look into this.response / report this review -

Pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant. They do serve sandwiches and burgers as well. I had a burger and it was average. The decor is a bit odd. Nothing bad to say about the place, but it will now "wow" you either.
