Description

The Calithumpians is a local theatre company that has been active in the community since 1979.

Created in 1981, Fredericton Outdoor Summer Theatre, the theatre in the park offshoot of The Calithumpians, is now celebrating its 30th year of performance in Officer's Square in beautiful downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick.

From Canada Day to Labour Day, the Calithumpians perform 4 free shows in repertory in the park every day of the week! 12:15 weekdays and 2:00 weekends. They also offer Haunted Hikes! -- Haunted theatrical tours of downtown Fredericton -- every Monday to Saturday night starting at 9:15 from 796a Queen St.

All season long, The Calithumpians also offer Drama Camps for youth ages 5 to 15 who are interested in acting, singing, dancing, or writing. Campers get to experience the world of theatre through creative activities, games, and workshops with The Calithumpians. At the end of the week, campers perform their very own show in front of a live audience before the senior Calithumpian show!

In Barracks Square, The Fredericton Fencibles provide historical interpretation, guided walking tours, "A Day in a Soldiers Life," and a free show!
