Dr. Ken Armstrong, partner in Halton Equine Veterinary Services, is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College class of 1967 and has practiced for over 45 years. Dr. Armstrong owned his own surgical practice prior to amalgamating in 2004 with his daughter-in-law, Dr. Laura Frost. His interests include: lameness, medicine and racehorse health. Dr. Armstrong continues to serve the equine industry through advising the Ontario Racing Commission, he was the past president of the Equine Research Centre and past President of the Ontario Association of Equine Practitioners. When Dr. Armstrong is not spending time with his grandchildren, he can be seen competing in combined driving in Ontario and the United States.

graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1987, being accepted into the College after completing two years of undergraduate study in Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island . He has maintained a private practice in Toronto since his graduation.
Dr. Perry's interest in animal chiropractic started with his love of Boxers and competing in the show ring. He went on to study animal chiropractic at Options for Animals, successfully completing the program, and becoming AVCA certified in 1998. He has been treating animals ever since. Dr. Perry's animal practice has since evolved into primarily an equine practice. He truly enjoys treating horses of all disciplines and breeds.

We are currently seeking a live-in Working student. This position is perfect for someone looking to further their riding, horse care knowledge, and stable management. The ideal candidate would be: -self motivated -able to work independently & with team -previous experience working in barn -organized -willing to learn
This job would include but not limited to: -5 &1/2 work weeks -bi-weekly salary -daily barn chores (turn out/in, mucking, graining, water, hay, sweep) -riding -weekly lessons -night checks -some ground maintenance -prepping for our home shows (OHTA & SOCTA)

What an amazing day for team Bronte Creek! 🏆 Cole and Fendi received 2nd in Jr. Pre-Entry we are so proud of this pair as this is Fendi’s first OHTA outing👏🏻 Colt and Lauren came home with 1st 🥇 in the Sr. Entry, what an awesome pair👏🏻 and Caroline and Fargo taking home 2nd in the OP. Monica McKenzie has been a professional in the equine industry for 27 years as a rider, trainer, coach and equine sport therapist, mainly working in the eventing and thoroughbred racing community. Her specialties include working with "difficult" horses, rehab and performance enhancement using Equine Structural Integration and Laser Therapy. Equine Structural Integration is a series of 5 sessions. She works hands on to realign the connective tissue so the horse can move with more power, freedom and grace. Her focus with this work is to awaken individual horse’s potential. Results that can be achieved: the horse glides through space, maximizing movement while conserving energy. Refined suppleness, balance and ease of movement are tangible. Laser therapy is used for acute or chronic injuries to reduce inflammation, pain and accelerate healing. She is a quality, 13:2hh, 9 year old, Bay, Welsh Mare, by a Morton Stallion “ RHOSON PASIANT”.
Harmony has had four successful event seasons on the OHTA circuit as well as many dressage win - 2017 Jr. Cadora Training level champion. She was bred for the hunter ring and would excel in any discipline. She is blemish free and a truly brilliant, versatile pony. A tad on the sassy side but very good at her job. She is usually placed in the top 3 after dressage and prefers to jump a double clear. She was bred for the hunter ring and would excel in any discipline. She is blemish free and a truly brilliant, versatile pony. A tad on the sassy side but very good at her job. She is usually placed in the top 3 after dressage and prefers to jump a double clear. Harmony is a brilliant pony that rides like a horse and will show off the talent of any competent young rider.

The best care you will find in Southern Ontario for you and your equine partner. Judith and staff really take note of each individual horses needs and exceed your expectations every day.
