Have been ordering from Bloomex for years, was always good until my most recent order. I ordered the Sweet Blossoms Collection (supersize) in a vase for my mother for Mother's Day. The flowers arrived wilted and dying with petals falling off. I asked my mom to send me pictures and she did and I could see the damaged/dying petals. I contacted Bloomex and sent the pictures. I said I'd like replacement flowers sent to my mother. *Update*
After posting the initial review the company contacted me and told me the flowers were unacceptable. They then sent my mother new flowers which was nice and what should have been done upon me contacting them in the first place.
*Initial review* When they finally replied they said "Upon having reviewed the pictures sent to us, we are able to determine that the arrangement you received was in accordance with our policy". So their policy clearly allows wilted and dying flowers upon arrival. In their reply they also offered me on discount on my next order. No thanks. Never again.
It is very rare for me to give 1-star reviews, but this is a case that a one star is very much deserved.
My mother-in-law surprised us with a gift basket from Bloomex yesterday (fruits and chocolates). While the contents of the basket could have been amazing, the delivery person left it out front in full sun at 30 degrees (shade was available) around noon. They did not knock or call ahead, and we had no idea it had been delivered until my MIL called us to see if we had received the order.
The chocolates were all melted and the fruit sweating. The pears were soft from the heat and the rest of the fruit was HOT from sitting in the sun.
This could have been avoided by simply knocking on our door or calling ahead. My MIL called Bloomex and sent the pictures of the melted goods and heat damaged fruit. All they offered was a $20 gift card towards a future purchase and they refused to refund or replace the damaged gift.
I do not recommend this company as either a gift recipient or gift sender. People put so much thought into ordering the perfect gift, and the thought from my MIL was 100% there. The care from the company was not. There are other companies out there who take greater care to ensure packages are delivered safely and provide much better customer service.
The staff on the phone were very kind but the model is just very outdated. If you've ever seen 40 year old virgin where the love interest has an eBay store but refuses to sell the items in person, calling them to be refused when trying to pick up an order of flowers on the same day felt much the same. I wish them all the best but you're chasing customers away and I hope you adjust accordingly someday!
Horrible experience, and not the first time. Will never use Bloomex again. Ordered flowers for my wife for Mother's Day. Entered my postal code and then selected Sunday as the delivery date, which cost an extra $5. The next day I got notification the order had been picked up by Purolator and would be delivered on Friday, 2 days early. I contacted Bloomex and after some back and forth, they acknowledged this and said they would send off for a credit to compensate and I would hear back from a Manager by email. Fast forward to Friday and the order was delivered. More problems. I specifically paid for a package that included a Mother's Day mug/vase. It actually came with a generic mason jar. On top of this, I paid $10 for a box of milk chocolates and they sent white chocolate, literally not the same thing. At all. I wrote Bloomex again to explain what had happened and advised I wanted a significant credit given the various issues. Well, today I got an insulting $5 refund, and they didn't even have the respect to ever actually respond to me or explain anything. No apology, nothing. I also haven't received the $20 in Bloomex bucks promised with every order when you send them a screenshot of a review left on Google. Horrid company, no respect for their customers. Will never use again.
I ordered flowers for a good friend who just lost her mom. The Bloomex website allowed me to order a bouquet (on special), input the delivery address, and input for same day (Saturday) delivery (at an additional cost). When I did not receive the promised notification of delivery, I reached out to Bloomex on Sunday to inquire about this via their online chat. They were not able to give me any answers. The next day, I received an email saying the address I had provided for delivery was not in in one of their local delivery areas and that they only delivered to that area on Tuesday - Friday. While they did offer an "upgrade" (tin of cookies), the bouquet was not delivered until Tuesday (four days after the intended delivery date). I wanted the flowers delivered that weekend, and if Bloomex could not accommodate this, I should not have been able to order - and pay for - same day delivery. Bloomex would not reimburse for even the extra paid for the delivery charge but instead, offered me a credit for a future order. I declined, as I have no intention of ordering from this company in the future. On a positive note (taking the rating from 1 to 2 stars), the bouquet that did arrive eventually was quite nice and I am told by the recipient that it lasted for a number of days.
