As summer begins, we’ve decided to make some new friends by the name of @berrymobile!! These amazing people source out the freshest and tastiest local BC berries and fruits. You may have seen them with small kiosks all around town, bringing the best of what the local farms to your part of town!! We personally found them in Yaletown and decided to reach out. For International Women’s Day, we wanted to do something special, yet traditional, to show our solidarity and appreciation to all the wonderful, hardworking ladies out there. In Italy it is customary to give the women in your life a Mimosa cake, a citrus sponge cake with a rich custard, in order to show gratitude and recognize the many challenges women face on a daily basis. Great Gelato and service but the wait is long and a bit expensive. Unlike other place where you order two flavors means two scoops, here it’s half and half if you order the cup but cones does give you two scoops.

We stayed in Vancouver for 7 days and had gelato three times. Long lines every time, but gelato is super delicious!

The gelato was quite good and we didn't have to wait for very long. My only complaint is that they shouldn't be using plastic cups because plastic is so harmful to the environment. Paper cups would be much better and create less waste. It is 2017 and there are alternatives to plastic.

The flavours are good but I wouldn't go out of my way just to have it. There are many options in the city and the long line just isn't worth it. I believe the line ups would go a lot faster if the staff didn't slowly make swirls on each scoop of gelato. Scooping out decorative flowers I get but swirls?

Went to this shop today based on the "rave" reviews after spending all day in Vancouver. My total was $16 in Canadian money. Gave $20 in US money and was told that they have to charge a 10% fee because the bank charges a 10% fee to exchange and received 2 in Canadian dollars back. I had been to many shops in Vancouver and no one charged me a "fee." In addition the exchange did not make sense. After doing the math I felt ripped off. The Gelato?.. In my opinion Paulos Gelato in Atlanta, GA and Charleston SC in the USA is much better. This after waiting in line for a long time. Would not come back to this shop next time in Vancouver. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Had the WORST experience at Bella Gelateria last nightwent for my birthday desert only to encounter the worst serviceI was actually verbally abused and had one of the employees throw a cone while storming off into the back, leaving the only other two employees to deal with the long lineups. (the only good employee proceeded to tell me that she has mental health issues) As for the gelatoafter that experience, I really didn't find it was as good as I remembered it to be. I have owned and operated a service industry business for 32 years, and I would NEVER treat a customer like that. Thought I should let owners/managers know what is happening and perhaps be a little choosier with their staff selection to maintain a healthy business

Went because of the amount of good reviews they have, but I was really disappointed; the prices are too high for the product they offer, I've had better gelatos for a lot less. My daughter had a saffron, pistachio and rose water gelato (it sounded very promising) but it only tasted sweet and had ONE pistachio, I had a raspberry gelato which was ok, but nothing special. I expected a lot more, the experience was a complete waste of time and money.

I have no idea how these people label this place as Italian gelato. It's one of the worse places we've ever been too!
Texture of geleto is good but flavours are absolutely horrible ask any born Italian!

The product is amazing and we enjoyed it thoroughly. However, a 50 minute wait for gelato is beyond unreasonable. On a hot evening on a long weekend, they only had 3 young staff working. At $8 for a 2 flavour cone, they are making obscene money and should have had way more staff.

Waited in line tonight not sure what to expect but needless to say, I was BLOWN away! Well worth the wait. Although it was madness due to it being the second day open and a Saturday night, the staff were very nice. The gelato was traditional, and homemade tasting. Loved the added touch of filling the waffle cone with liquid chocolate. Got a 1 scoop in a cone and it was like the size of 2 scoops anywhere else! Loved it! Again, well worth the wait. Thanks bella! I'll be back for sure.

The most rich, extravagant gelato I have tasted. It definitely has that edge that pops in even the vanilla flayouts. There can often be a big line (sunny days). You can sample some (I think two flavors) before you buy.

Seriously - this gelato is the best!!! I thought I knew what good gelato was until I entered Bella Gelateria for the first time. The flavours are natural, delicious and unique. I cannot recommend it highly enough! PS. The new pumpkin pie flavour is AMAZING!!!!!!
