Have you had a frost yet? We have had several here, but you can still plant shrubs, trees, and perennials (and bulbs, but we don't sell those). Warm days (well, usually!) and cool nights with plenty of moisture is just what plants want when they are transplanted. As always, we're open Tues-Sun, 9-5 this time of year, but do please call if it's stormy or very cold out!

From the brilliant gold of the Kentucky Coffee tree to the blazing sumacs (with special garden art Chev, ha ha) and the eyecatching and graceful Miscanthus 'Huron Sunrise', we've got all sorts of things for your late season planting. Get to know Northern Sea Oats, a terrific perennial grass with showy seedheads. Easy to grow, forms a clump and doesn't run everywhere, and can tolerate shade or sun, drought tolerant or can be planted in moist but well drained soil. It's heading into its season of truly shining, as the seedheads persist well into winter.
