I am not one to leave reviews of any kind usually, good or bad. But i had such a terrible experience here that i wanted to warn people not to waste their money. It was 30 bucks a person for a weekend wich is pretty standard for an all you can eat sushi place but the quality of the food and the service was awful.

The place looked nice and that was about it.

My husband and I were seated in a tiny room hidden in the back with all windows. They had a space heater set up but it was so cold and drafty that we both had to wear our winter coats and my hands were so numb i could barely use the chop sticks. We weren't even addressed by any staff for drinks after about 15 minutes of being there. After our first order was taken about 20 minutes later we still hadn't received our drinks and I had to go find someone just to get some water even after our first order had arrived.

It took over half an hour to just get a can of beer and my husband ended up cancelling his drink because they couldn't even bother to tell us what he wanted was not available after 40 minutes of being there. The first order came fast but everything was frozen, when i bit into the tuna sashimi it was frozen solid along with everything else, only the fried food was kind of warm and took forver to arrive. At this point my husband was so cold he had to go downstairs for 5-10 minutes to warm up. Our second order took so long we had to send for the waitress and cancel it because we had already been there for an hour and a half and still hadn't received everything and needed to be somwhere within the next half an hour. i wanted to demend our money back considering it was a 100$ tab for two people and one beer but we had to hurry out of there. We had such a horrible experience here I would absolutley never go back or suggest anyone to ever go there.

We will not be going back. Service was terrible. Felt like we were bothering the server. Some of the food was not hot and took forever to get one order to the next. Not the sushi experience we have had or hoped for.

We've eaten at the Waterloo location a few times in the past year, since it's closer to us now than our usual spot (which is London) and the very first experience we had here was wonderful. Subsequently, each visit since then has declined more and more in quality. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is inconsistent, where some days the food is fresh, hot, and absolutely on point. Other visits, like the one we had last night, the food seemed over or under cooked, the soups didn't taste the same (i.e. the Wonton soup at the buffet was cool and oversalty, and what looked like beef broth in our Tom Yum soup?), some reliable menu items were removed, and the items that were our tried and true didn't taste quite right. The service is usually fair, but last night we had a couple issues where our half eaten food was taken away despite saying we were still eating, several of our food items didn't arrive (that we had to reorder), and when we went to pay at the cash register (like we have every visit prior), the server shot us a look and told us we needed to pay before leaving - like we were going to dine and dash. It's especially a shame to drive a half hour to eat somewhere we usually know we're going to leave satisfied, pay a substantial amount for the dinner menu options, and leave feeling underwhelmed.

The food wasn't fresh, it took 45+ minutes for simple things like fries to get to the table, many things were not properly labelled at the buffet, things that were supposed to be hit - weren't, and the tea wasn't steeped at all and was nothing short of just water with a few tea leaf segments. I probably won't go back.

Food was mediocre quality for a sushi place in Waterloo, but overpriced in my opinion. We made a reservation for 20 people on Saturday night well ahead of time (Thursday) - their phone was disconnected for some reason so I had to go in person. We arrive at 7, just in time for our reservation but we are left waiting until 7:30 because it is busy and people didn't leave as early as anticipated (but what is the point of a reservation then?)

Hostess informed us that we would be seated next but that was untrue as another party was seated before us (their reservation was also pushed back so the restaurant knew our reservation would need to be pushed back). We did not receive a call or text letting us know about the delay (if we had, we could've just arrived 30 mins later).

Tried to ask for a discount because of how long the reservation took. Didn't get a discount, but were given coupons for our next visit, although I doubt any of us will be going back.

Service speed was average, one server was really nice to our table but other than that, nothing stand-out.

I would go elsewhere for sushi in the KW region.

I have been eating at Ye's Sushi for years and we decided to try 168 sushi as we were attending a paint night there. I thought the food was horrible to say the least. I had to send back a few dishes. The quality is poor compared to other places. The chicken friend rice was gross it didn't even taste like rice. No I would not go back.

Well now wasn't that an awesome experience! The facility was very clean, big and ready to serve. The servers were polished, experienced, quick and friendly. The prices were well within the range for the food we received. The food was most fabulously prepared (Did I mention there was a soup/salad/dessert bar!) and my favorite part was making my own miso soup just how I like with all the extras We can not wait to come back here! Thankx for the great time!

Came here for a Paint Nite event. Would NEVER go back.

Waiter didn't listen and was not helpful at all. Ordered food that never came. Couldn't get the bill right (took 3 times, when i essentially had to go to the counter and do it myself).

Absolutely filthy floors and washrooms. Hands down the most disgusting "up scale" place I've ever been.

Horrible service and proprietor. The person that says she is a manager is the owner who is very haughty and arrogant. Took 22 mins to get my daughter sushi and when I confronted the bad service they made all kinds of excuses as if I was an idiot who knew no different. The owner is not at all trained in hospitality or true customer service apparently showing a disdain for being held responsible for her poor performance. Won't be going back. The woman Lina became abusive also showing no regard for my daughter's long wait. So it is not just bad service or people skills but a personality disorder to compliment their lacking. I left and didn't pay after the owner became threatening toward me acting like a bully when I stood up to her laws of denial and lies about the incompetent service. Sadly I know a few students who once worked there and I can now see why they quit working for a very immature, abusive owner with no real business or people knowledge. The local health department needs to investigate the operation and the handling of food at this location as well. Since the owner is uneducated in people and effective service protocol, it is reasonable to understand that her attitude manifests in the service team's desire to provide conscientious delivery. We were regulars since we live very close by. After hearing from a few other patrons about their experience at 168, it makes sense as to why they too won't return to eat more mishandled food.

Food was fantastic, arrived hot and quickly at the table. The service was super fast at food delivery as well as cleaning up the table from empty dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely be returning!

4.5 Stars today which is very very good considering that it is only the third day they have been open. This is a well designed modern looking restaurant. It has a soup, salad bar and dessert bar. and an attractive drinks bar (not licensed yet). The food was quite good and certainly on a par with AYCE restaurants in the GTA.

Amazing in every way it could be evaluated. I love sushi and I will not be going anywhere else. I've even told strangers, as well as friends and family, that THIS is where you go for great food, ambiance and service! Also, that goes for any restaurant, not just comparing to other sushi places. They stand out!

Excellent quality sushi for all-you-can-eat. Very fast and efficient service. First time I went, it was literally freezing in the restaurant - many people were wearing coats or sweaters. Had to drink lots of Miso to stay warm, lol

Waited 45 minutes to be seated then after we found out that they had crossed out our name. It was totally a Seinfeld episode "Cartwright". Food was not the best either. However our server was great.
