Great small place with Incredible food and amazing service.

This is one of many small restaurants in the area. While vacationing in San Pedro, we had dinner here one night and all of us were underwhelmed. I ordered the firecracker shrimp, they were so salty that they were almost inedible.
Typically, when things go well in general, you forgive small things. But when a lot of things go not so well, then the little things become magnified. It was a series of little things that could've been done better. Sweetener for the tea. Straws for the kid's drinks. A little more attention from the waiter. To cap if off, we paid the bill and I guess we were slow to vacate. The waiter comes over to essentially shoo us away. "Excuse me, sorry to rush you but since you're finished can you please give up the table?"response / report this review -

A running theme on Ambergris Caye is the prevalence of local guides giving 5 star reviews to abysmally inadequate food; Wild Mangos does not differ. Weak drinks, incredibly slow service and fish dryer than the Sahara desert had my wife and I running for the nearest taco stand (PocoLocos down the road will make you an $8USD burrito that could potentially end world hunger). For one of the highest rated restaurant on the island, we will definitely be giving this a big miss next time around.

Amazing food. Tried the chicken burrito, was enough to feed two (Not freedom units). They have a special way of preparing the tortilla. Waitresses were very accommodating since we were rushing to have a bite before snorkeling. Accepts credit card.

This place is one of our favorite places to eat! Great food, great view and location and nice staff. My only issue is that we always have to go in search of our check so we can leave. Other than that it's great! Fyi- If you're going in the mid afternoon they are only serving snacks

It’s just a dollar or so more than the average beachfront restaurants, but is WAY better food. Fresher, more interesting options. Doesn’t rely on a menu of fried foods and the staff is very good.

We enjoyed wonderful food on Ambergris Caye but Wild Mangos stood out as one of our best meals. Cashew encrusted grouper was the best cooked fish I've ever had. Chef/Owner Any was off tonight but Asst Chef JJ did her proud. Service was great prices reasonable.

I was so happy to find a restaurant with more than one option for me to have. Being unable to eat gluten it has been a struggle. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff are great. Highly recommend!

A comfortable laid back place to sit and have a wonderful meal right at the waters edge. Great food, good drinks, friendly staff. And the Belizean chocolate shop is next door. Although the deserts at Wild Mangos are hard to pass up.

Friendly service, best thing we ate their was the plantain empanadas! Everything else was good. as far as getting the bang for your buck,I would recommend the daily special best portion for the money. Just FYI full kitchen menu is not available all day , but in the interim they have appetizers you can order from.

Extensive menu but we ended up having the ceviche there 3 times. They have 8 different kinds and you can mix and match them on a sampler. We had all 8 eventually and liked them all. Also had a fish taco that was pretty good. Prices were pretty good. They also had lots of vegetarian options. Outdoor dining right on the water. Drink service was always slow but other than that great place.

The food here isn't 'fancy', but is presented well, tastes great and is well portioned. There are several types of ceviche, we had the Fire & Ice and it was fairly good. The hard tacos were fantastic and the burrito was hefty, flavourful and filling.
The drink menu is substantial and the bartender does a great job. On any given night the place is usually packed from 7pm onward so reservations are recommended (unless you don't mind waiting).
Try the Hemingway, it was fantastic. Rum punch was great too. Expect to take a bit of food home if you're not a big eater, esp if you get the burrito. Enjoy!response / report this review -

They have plenty to choose from! You'd be hard pressed to find somebody with a diet that Wild Mangos can't accommodate. It's a cool place right on the beach. They even have a high table that can accommodate about ten people. It's a great place to enjoy a great meal!
