My family (son-his wife-two granddaughters) and I had a most enjoyable experience with White Sands! The ladies in the office, Sandra - Lucy - Jolissa were very efficient and helpful in registering. Our our Divemaster Rick was superb! His tempo provided a most relaxing and pleasurable dive experience for us on the Mesoamerican Reef. And, of course, Elbert (the owner) a self proclaimed “SCUBA bum” and former photographer was a great source of knowledge. I have had eight dives with White Sands and willl definitely use them on my next trip to Ambergris Caye. I highly recommend these folks.

Went snorkeling with these guys to Mexico Rocks. Not a ton of life there that day, but our instructor and captain were very helpful. Had a blast. Highly recommended

I have been diving and snorkeling at White Sands Dive Shop since 2011. I have done approximately 200 dives with them. During that time the shop has always been well run on the ocean, in the shop as well as in the pool where lessons are partly done. I have dived with about twenty other dive shops or more during my 42 years of diving and have been more pleased with the consistent professionalism of White Sands than I have with any other place. Their boat drivers are safe, reliable and knowledgeable. Their dive masters are caring and careful and very fun. They are certainly the best on Ambergris Caye and worthy of anyone's business. You will love them.

Staff was friendly and this shop is north on San Pedro which is nice for those staying close by.

Equipment rented was not great. Dockside check revealed that there was a leak in the air pressure gauge hose. Told by staff, just needed to twist an O ring at the dock. Just before diving audible leak and again twist of the gauge stopped the hissing. Leak persisted under water. Small leak so it impacted dive time but was able to mostly do the dive. First experience being told equipment was fine despite an audible leak twice.

If renting, rent gear elsewhere.

I have have been a certified diver for three years and have only done seven dives total. So I am not very experienced yet, but enjoy going out when on vacation. Went diving with White Sands this morning and was not happy with my experience. Our dive master seemed very grumpy right from the start, she hardly talked to us, didn't go through anything with us before going out, the staff didn't seem to care about our experience. She knew the other people in our group, who were very experienced and seemed to just focus on them. The dive master with the other group sat everyone down for a refresher before going and seemed friendlier. I canceled my afternoon dive and full day of diving for the next day, not wanting to go back out with a dive master who wasn't friendly in the least and didn't seem to care about us.

white sands Dive shop is so professional. we dive around the globe and really loved our experience with White sands. Great reef diving and fun staff. Staff made you feel special and safe above and below water. if you are staying north of town it is very convenient and also the road is paved to the dive shop now so very easy to access. we highly recommend this dive shop- definitely 5 stars!

Went to San Pedro for a first time diving trip. Finished my certification on a referral with White Sands and could be happier. JC was a terrific instructor and the whole crew was friendly and more than helpful. Can't wait to go back and of the reef.

I did three days of diving at White Sands and could not be happier with the shop. The Dive Masters are some of the best I have ever had. Everyone was incredibly fun, friendly, and safe. Even after only 6 dives i feel like these folks are old friends. When I come back to San Pedro, I will absolutely use White Sands.

I was with a friend doing openwater checkout and they were awesome with him. There was also a young diver on the boat that was really scared. They handled her so well and did get her in the water.

White Sands Dive Shop is the best place to become open water scuba diving certified! In just three days, I was able to complete my book work, confined water dives, and open water dives. All while having a great time on my honeymoon. All of the instructors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable. They provide free transportation to and from most resorts and city docks. If you're getting certified or taking an advance course, request Raul. He was an incredible instructor. he is very knowledgeable and patient and an overall incredible teacher. Plus, he takes the time to point out all of the beautiful marine life around you while you are diving.
