  We have stayed here the last 3 years in the winter and absolutely love it. It is a small enough complex that you don't have a huge crowd of people. Always an open lounge chair by the pool, or on the beautiful dock with a palapa. Kayaks for two are easily accessible for kayaking around the area or out to the island and spend some time snorkeling around the untouched coral. Absolutely beautiful! There is a grill outside for BBQs and even a hot tub by the pool. Every unit here is the same but different, depending on what the private owners have available for guests to use. Joe the grounds keeper is the best! Any questions or problems he is on it with a friendly smile. He has even been known to bring some coconuts down to the Palapa and cut them open for an afternoon drink! Part of this gated community includes another beautiful resort within walking distance where you can find two restaurants, an incredible spa, work out center, yoga, and so much more. Wonderful place to stay! I could write a book as a review on how wonderful the peninsula of placencia is. You will love this little slice of heaven!
