My fiance and I offered to take her parents to any restaurant in the village for thier 30th wedding anniversary and they very wisely chose Secret Garden. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very beautiful. My fiance got the lobster tail special and I got the chicken Maya and we split a bottle of wine.
The owners Becca & Tobi stopped by the table and we got talking about thier latest trip to Guatemala as that was our next stop on our trip we got several tips of things to do.
Really nice dishes in a garden.
Food and atmosphere was very good. Owner Becca came to our table and gave us great tips about Placencia, and great places to visit.
A very fine dinner - I had Gumbo that was very flavorful and right up there with the best that I have had. This is not your typical creole sidewalk cafe, certainly upscale for down in the heart of the village of Placencia.
It is a lovely setting for dinner. Just simply cozy and beautiful! The Fish Ceviche is to die for!
It was my fiancé's 50th birthday and we just finished an awesome meal at Omar's and wanted a birthday cake or some sort of desert treat to celebrate. Omar recommended the Secret Garden and it didn't disappoint. The service, ambience and cake were all AWESOME!!! Highly recommend for at least desert, though I bet their other food is also top notch---we only had desert so can't attest, but the other food coming out did look amazing.
Delicious food! Great drink menu and owners are a lot of fun!
Very romantic and perfect timing for Valentine's Day. The "secret" garden was where everyone was seated, no one opted for inside. Owner is present and was attentive to making sure we were satisfied.
