Sooo amazing! Beautiful warm crystal clear bright blue water! Free of the seaweed that plagues the other side of the island! Drink and good are a little expensive and the drive is quite bouncy. About 35 minutes down a dirt and rock road.

Yes it is a very long ride but it is worth every little bump. Very cool adventure the bars and the water are very nice no seaweed. Crystal clear water.

Since it is on a map, it is not very secret and when we were here it was pretty crowded. Still had a fun time and the water is beautiful. It is worth going to see the views!

Bumpy ride from San Pedro but once you get there it's awesome. Smooth clear and shallow water and laid back atmosphere. Love Secret Beach!

Not much of a secret anymore, but Secret Beach is beautiful. The drive isn't easy, but doable in a cart, just follow the signs once you hit dirt on the road north out of San Pedro. We sat at the Secret Paradise Beach bar- if you buy a drink or two (try their Conch Fritters - best on the island!), you can sit on the beach in the lounge chairs. Good swimming, and the view is amazing.

Interesting place, way off the beaten path. Road out there is pretty horrible, but passable in a golf cart. Basically, a beach on the bay side of the island, north of the bridge (quite a ways, I might add).

Deflate your tires 25% to help smooth golf cart ride over rough terrain. Definitely go.

Mediocre beach on the opposite side of the island from most of the hotels and resorts. It's a great golf cart ride to get out there, but once you're there, there are only 2 real restaurants / bars that have anything. On the drive you'll go through miles of swamp like land and the view isn't anything spectacular. I preferred the east side of the island where you had views of the reef.

It's crazy getting there since there is no paved road. Rocky dirt road to travel there. The water is great and they had these white things that sucked onto your skin. Someone called them sea roaches.

Scenery was great. water was warm and it was less that chest high far far out into the water. People there were great.

Beautiful beach. Getting there can be a hassle. However, we rented a golf cart and we had no problem

Secret Beach is probably the best beach on Ambergris Caye. Fun people and relaxing. It is a long bumping ride via golf cart but that is part of the fun. If you are staying in town it will cost you 5BZ to go over the bridge each way.

Okay, lets get this straight. The drive on a golf to Secret Beach is treacherous. On our way, we ran into a local who had his thumb out "hitchhiking". Asked him if he needed a lift and sure enough he was a bartender who was late for work! During the lift he gave the inside scoop on all the going ons of the area and Secret Beach. The area out to Secret Beach will eventually (key word there) get a road and electricity. It is a subdivision that has been divided as we saw two houses out there that are totally off the gridwow. Anyway, got to the beach via the signs and and came upon the beach. WOW! Crystal clear waters, clean, calm and you can wade out forever! I can't remember the bar we hung out but it was to the right and food was good and the drinks were cold. In the distance you can Leo Dicaprio's island which just broke ground. Don't listen to negative reviews of Secret Beach and GO! GO early and come back early as you DO NOT want to drive back in the dark.

Great views and the dock is great for snorkeling! The bar is a little pricey but if you head over to the trailer that serves food and drinks right next door you can normally get the same stuff for half the price.

It's not a secret anymore but this is the best piece of paradise at ambergris Caye. It's a long haul with your golf cart to get here, and it's pretty bumpy, but worth it. The bar on the far right is the best one by far.

Very disappointed. I was told it was a must see beach/lagoon & it was dull flat & nondescript if you have seen amazing lakes & water areas around world. Just a tourist gimmick/attraction. It's on the opposite side of the ocean. Stick with the ocean side. The Ocean in San Pedro & Ambergris Caye are amazing.

Water is beautiful! There's a few places to grab food and drinks. We had heard it got crowded on the weekends but we went on a Saturday morning and there weren't a lot of people.

A great little beach to watch the sunset over the ocean. Cheap drinks are also served. Beware that it's a long and bumpy road that isn't well sign posted. The bars also close just as the sun goes down - the insects seem to come out then too. So bring bug spray!

The rough road is so worth the drive to see this beautiful area. the food vendors are courteous and the limited food is super yummy. Everything is run on a generator fyi.
