Becareful if you buy tickets at the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi dock. They rip you off on the pricing. Normal price should be $18 BZD one way and $28 BZD roundtrip to caye caulker but they will try to charge you $18 USD one way and $28 USD round trip instead.
Pricing for San Pedro is only a few more bucks than that in BZD as well.
As you can see from most reviews it’s really sad to see that almost everyday the busses and service are simply poor. It’s simply the way it runs and also because of the distances these busses have to travel everyday.
If it’s not the boarder being packed it’s the bus breaking down or simply it’s just not leaving until more people book the buses.
Simple as thisexpect a good 2 hour delay or more no matter what and if it does leave on time and isn’t overbooked just be happy and lucky.
No organization, they overbook and don't direct boarding at all. We missed two boats in a row from Caye Caulker to Belize City because of their lack of organization. If your island has another taxi option, pay the little bit extra and take it.
It cost $38.00 to go to San Pedro from Belize round trip. I feels it’s overpriced, considering that the first water taxi we took didn’t have a restroom, AC or wifi.
Nice ferry. A bit crowded, but overall it took me where I needed to go.
Ran as scheduled, friendly workers. It is 6 times cheaper than flying but crowded and plan on 2 hours from cast off until you have your bags at the other end. Cab ride to Golson airport is US$30
Having unpleasant workers, this water taxi seemed to be part of a tourist tunnel to get travelers to the island. They tried to tell us that the round trip ticket to Caye Caulker was $25 (should be $15), that the other water taxi service was closed to try and get us to stay, and refused to give us internet access until after we paid for the ticket. After haggling we got a "coupon" for a $14US round trip ticket and the rest of the experience was fine.
The service is fairly reliable. I was concerned when life vest were removed from the boat to make way for luggage. I think anyone would be corned when your 45 minutes away from shore and something happens. You might want a life vest..
Fastest way to get out to the Islands other then flying. Boats run on time and staff are friendly. Only gave a four because sometimes the boats are over full to the point where people are sitting on steps and standing.
Boats run on schedule, very busy friendly staff, ferry are as comfortable as you can expect
Staff is very helpful, but the boat was uncomfortable and didn't run as scheduled. Almost 2 hours off schedule.
Has courteous works and stand ready to assist. Once in the boat you can surf with free wi fi until you reach your destination, mind you now you will experience a dead signal when you are out far in the sea but not for long.
