The newly expanded terminal area is really nice. The extra restrooms and stores are a big improvement.

This is a tiny airport. They do their best to move people through. It gets packed on the weekends. It's chaos. There are lots of gift and food cafe places. No real restaurant to sit down. If your flight gets delayed good luck because you are trapped here. Stores close at 5:30. WiFi is horrible.

Small, easy to navigate airport. The small becomes an issue when multiple flights are arriving/departing close in time to each other. Also, you'll be boarding/deplaning via the tarmac.

The airport is small, and thus easy to navigate. The staff get people through the phases of entrance and exiting quickly and without hassle. However, be warned, if you rent a car make sure you've made arrangements for someone to be at the rental location if you will be dropping the car off outside of business hours - most places do not have a key drop box.

Its a small airport for an International at that but easy to navigate. Wifi sucks but the upside you have food and drinks galore as well as gift shops for last minute items.

Really not a happy place. Incredibly noisy. Our worst experience on the whole trip was at the security checkpoint. Security workers were very rude, for no apparent reason. About the only thing going for this airport are the clean restrooms.

If you find yourself in this airport for any length of time, go to the restaurant upstairs and eat. Good is very good. Makes a good last stop on your Belize experience.

Look, if you are looking for a world class international airport with executive club lounges and Starbucks, Belize International is not it. The airport is open from 6AM to 6PMthats it. There are no restaurants except for a "order out" counter where they order your food, call it in and send a guy to pick up in the city and come back to deliver it. I was lucky to buy some ordered food (at the counter) that no one picked up and chowed on some chicken and rice. My wife and kids ordered their food and it never came. Hence, the reason why I able to get a lunch when we first arrived. It takes soooooo long to get your eats that people get on their plane with out eating the food they ordered. Why? Because they are so SLOW! So, eat before you get to the airport or have a sack lunch in reserve in your carrying on. Especially if you have kids. If you need quick eats go to Jet's Bar in the far corner (in the waiting area where the bathrooms are at) and get a drink and order a hot dog "all the way". Damn good hot dog and you can't miss the guyhe is like 4 foot nothing, funny and makes sure you get service. A visit to Jet's made the whole Belize International airport experience passable and got the kids fed!

Rad old school airport with ok wifi when the place is empty. The "jets" bar is a seedy venue, the little creeper had a selection of photos with his head firmly smashed between each girls chest, so Dont fall for the trap of a photo with angry old jet, it's just an opportunity to get a free touch up. Don't plan on eating any of the food as it's all horrible.
Staff are ok. Security is super relaxed, if you want to bring any contraband into the US this is the place.
Avoid the "hotel" at all costs - your better to sleep in a gutter, it's seriously old and nastyresponse / report this review -

A bunch of rude workers. Don't bother eating at the restaurant upstairs. The staff is rude. The people in blue uniforms are rude. There is a deli past security that you can get sandwiches and snacks. I spent a week in Belize and didn't come across any rude people until we came to the airport.

I dont have any complaints. Customs and Borders agent just wave you by. The place is small and the amenities few. A good side is the shops will give you change in US currency when departing. Well most shops..

This airport is terrible ! I brought a little toy flying camera into Belize for it to only be seized at customs. There was no prior information about bringing it and was stunned to have a stupid toy seized at customs. I will be sharing this information back in the U.S. on Yelp TripAdvisor and anywhere else I can warn people to stay away from this airport and just avoid Belize all together.
