Wonderful destination. Sounded by nature plus the largest barrier reef in this hemisphere. Property is relaxing and staff is great!!!

8 miles north of town will take you about 45 minutes to get there. The drive will be an adventure but it's a great place to get away from all the noise in town.

Everything was excellent, but shouldn't a bartender be there not only to severe you a drink n listen n not talk out what he hears from you if its not a treat to someone? Enjoyed it otherwise. Thanks for the stay.

First the good Really nice rooms, we had a 1 bedroom suite. Kitchen was (almost) fully stocked, comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub, nice walk in shower, bottled water for drinking/cooking, excellent ocean views from every unit, DirectTV with more channels than I have at home, staff was friendly and mostly accommodating (thye couldn't provide all the towels we wanted for some reason). Internet was a bit spotty… but you could usually get a connection by switching hotspots. Pool was nice, although a little cold. Outdoor giant chessboard and kayaks and paddle boards were free. The restaurant/bar is outside on the patio and they will deliver to your room, but it's not an actual restaurant… but we mostly cooked anyway. The beach was okay, although they were having a seaweed bloom of some sort so it was pretty stinky and wasn't​ really pleasant to swim in. They were attempting to remove it but not getting real far. I have to believe this was a bit of a seasonal anomaly other wise why would they have even tried? Another thing they couldn't control that was a bit disheartening was the amount of debris in the ocean. It must flow down from the Caribbean and Mexico … I don't remember seeing so much trash on the shores in any of those places. But it certainly was noticeable here.
Now the bad… the resort is about 9 miles north of the San Pedro airport. Google said it would take 50 minutes to get there… which I thought was a mistake It is not. The golf carts you can rent only go about 10 miles an hour. And even if they didn't have governors the roads are so bad you can't go any faster. Just north of the Wyndham the road turns into a rutted out asphalt mess which makes getting anywhere extremely difficult. After 2 days of having the fillings rattled out of my head … I resigned myself to sitting around the cold pool with the fresh stink of the seaweed bloom! Paradise!
Bottom line is I think I would stay in town next time. Buzzing around in a golf cart was fun … but 2 hours round trip for groceries or a meal doesn’t make sense.response / report this review -

Great secluded part of the island. You will need a water taxi to get here. Nice staff. The food is actually pretty decent and at resort prices obviously.

This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway! The place is absolutely beautiful and the staff is outstanding! I am glad, that I picked it as a place to get engaged!
