Crystal was very easy to deal with when picking up and returning the vehicle, helping us start and finish our vacation stress free. When somethings were accidentally left in the car, Crystal call and emailed to ensure they were taken care of in our preferred manner. I would highly recommend renting from Crystal when visiting Belize.

This place is great- very fair pricing, great staff, and they’ll pick you up/dip you off where you need to go. Also, they provide you with a free local cell phone to use in case you need to make some calls on the road. The jeep was a perfect car for Belize, could handle any road we went on through jungle, river, and forest, but ours was only 2wd, so I can’t say how it would be in rainy season (pictures below of car, not rental place)

I screwed up big time! We got to the airport an hour late and Air Canada said nope, you missed your flight (even though we were still an hour early). The car was parked in the unloading space in front of the airport, and as I was preparing to call them to say we'd need to keep it another day, my partner asked for my credit card because she was booking a flight through American. Suddenly I'm digging out my passport and paperwork and we are running around with the American employee hurrying us through airport lines and out onto the tarmac. We loaded through the back of the plane, belted in and the engines roared. Suddenly I remembered the car. I left it parked in no parking zone in front of the airport entrance, one window down, really dirty from our travels and, only half a tank of gas in it -- and I'm in the airplane and can't even make a phone call till we land in the States after hours! Later that night I left a phone message on the Crystal line explaining the above and the next day I got a return call from Crystal and all my fears dissolved. They just charged me for the gas, the parking fine from the airport, and a reasonable late fee. Very nice and very forgiving. Thanks -- Kurt

We rented a jeep from Crystal Auto Rental for a week while we visited Belize. It was a good, clean car. Picking up the car at the airport was fast and professional as was the drop off. We've rented cars internationally in the past and had experienced long waits with hassles and extra costs for unexpected insurance needs - Crystal was so much easier to work with than past experiences with other companies. We booked and paid ahead online and the car was waiting for us. I highly recommend renting from them.

Rented a Jeep Patriot for a week at a very affordable price. They gave me a free ride to the office. The process was simple and painless. They threw in a free cell phone with the car. Dropped the car off right at the airport. I would definitely recommend Crystal Auto Rental to anyone renting a car in Belize.

My husband and I regularly travel to Belize and have rented from several different companies. We now rent exclusively from Crystal. The cars are always clean and well maintained and we have never had any problems. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful and the locations are across from the airport and in Belize City are incredibly convenient! The last time we were in Belize, my husband left his cell phone behind and we were already on the plane when Crystal found it in the car. They made every effort to get the phone back to us as soon as possible. We could not be more grateful to them for getting his phone back to him! I would highly recommend Crystal for any car rental needs in Belize and will continue to rent from them myself in the future.

Crystal auto rental is a very dependable establishment. Always greets its customers with a smile. When it comes to the conditions of the cars available they are in tip top shape. I am always pleased when renting a vehicle and have never encountered mechanical problems. I would recommend Crystal auto rental to anyone who needs car rentals as their prices are the best in town and always reliable. After renting I was able to purchase a vehicle for a relative good price. Being that they have provided such good service, it was fairly easy to make the decision to purchase from them. As mentioned they never disappoint and would be recommended to anyone.

I've used Crystal auto 3 times in the last few months. Had a vacation in Belize and then back for a mission trip that had two parts needing different rentals. They provide a cell phone and coolers to use. Will definitely use again. Got a surprise bonus of an upgrade too!

As a long time renter from Crystal Auto Rental for approximately 20 years, my wife and I rented a car from Crystal for our two week vacation to Belize. We called from Sacramento California (where we live) and spoke with Rina. She greeted us warmly and gave us an excellent rate over the phone and emailed the quotation to us immediately. When we landed at the airport we were able to pick up the car and were greeted like old friends. The car was in excellent condition and took us all over the country. We received a free upgrade when we swapped out the car after a week. When it was time to leave the country we were able to drop off the car at the main office and were taken to the airport by a driver.

We will definitely rent from Crystal again. The cars wereclean, reliable and in excellent condition. The customer service was also beyond compare. We were even provided with a cell phone to use while we were in Belize. It is with pleasure that I recommend Crystal Auto Rental in Belize to everyone who is looking for a car to rent while in Belize.

Great experience. Rina was extremely nice and patient, answering all my questions and worries about renting and driving in Belize. The price and flexibility were also better than all the car rentals I contacted. The car was (Jeep Patriot) was comfortable and got us through all the tough dirt roads of Belize. Definitely recommend Crystal.

We had a very good experience with Crystal. Their rates were very good and, with advance notice, we could take the vehicle into Guatemala. Above all they were very friendly, helpful and efficient, which I found invaluable as I had never driven in Belize before. I would definitely rent from them again.

Crystal went out of their way to make our trip convenient and enjoyable. Their cars are modern, good quality, and have low mileage. When the check engine light came on our Jeep Patriot (likely due to a pollution gauge triggered by the lower quality gas in Belize, as there was no change in car performance) we called them toll free on the phone they provided, and they quickly swapped our car out with an upgraded model at no extra cost. They even provided a free lift to the water taxi (20min) after we turned in our car and were headed to the islands. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful experience! The car we rented was brand-new and the quality was far superior to what we typically rent in the United States. Customer service was top notch coordinating courier delivery to us of a permit to San Ignacio so that we could visit Tikal in Guatemala last minute. Very flexible in allowing us additional time on the day of return without charging us extra. They even gave us a cooler to use for free and dropped us back off at the ferry for no charge. Would rent from them all the time if they were in the United States.

Wonderful experience with Crystal with easy pickup from the airport. Great prices and good selection on their website. Friendly folks at the counter. Explained the basic rules of the road and had me out of the lot in under 10 minutes. Jeep was as described, although Sat radio is only 1 channel. (the free preview channel) Had a rental for 8 days and made our way to and from San Ignacio, Belmopan and Placencia. The jeep gave us no problems. Would definitely rent from Crystal on our next trip to Belize.

The Jeep we rented was wonderful. With Hurricane Earl heading to Belize City and landfall expected Aug 4th 2016, (our scheduled departure date,) we headed to Belize International Aug 3rd morning.
The flight was fully booked, and what we didn’t know then, no airlines were sending aircraft back to Belize International for obvious reasons.
We got our room set up for the night, and called Crystal Auto to figure out what to do with the Jeep. Belize City is pretty low lying. The Owner, Jay, had most everyone at his business go home to take care of their needs. We agreed to meet within the hour, and he would have someone drive us back to our room. Driving into the City, most people had evacuated. We found Mr. Crofton’s business, he gave us a tour of some of his very interesting collectables. Heading back to our room, I asked if we could keep the cell phone that came with the car rental until the storm passed? Jay said “No problem!”
It was a pretty long wet noisy night, and when the sun came up, power lines and phone lines were down everywhere around us. I called Jay, he said he would get some help to us, but none of his employees had come to work. I explained we completely understand, we will do what we can, but if we need further help, we would call him back. Clearly he had his own problems to deal with now.
It was a very long couple of days, but knowing Jay Crofton was just a few miles away, willing to try to help a couple of strangers out, was an immense confidence boost.
Thank you doesn’t seem to say enough.

A friend of mine recommended Crystal Auto Rentals while I was vacationing in Belize in November. That was a great choice. Customer service was excellent. The price was right. The Pick-up and Drop-off processing was quick and easy. I had a great time driving the car, which was in excellent condition. Crystal Auto Rental will be used for my future and upcoming trips.
