My wife and I spent 9 days in the hummingbird cottage. We couldn't possibly be more pleased with our honeymoon choice. Very nice. Gracious host. If there were 6 stars would give them a 6. If we go back to Belize will definitely stay here again.

Our friends had stayed here last year and recommended it, we adored the place, it is so peaceful and has such beautiful gardens. My Husband and I stayed in a cottage for a week and wished we had booked for longer, it is handy for town you can walk to the store or the beach in 5 minutes. The owner picked us up from the airport and were beyond helpful they even did our laundry for us. The cottage was clean and cozy, we used the WiFi alot, hoping to come back before Christmas. Highly Recommended.

Although the cottages are fine (could use some updating though), the many barking dogs are a deal breaker. They would start barking between 1 - 2 am and bark for hours. The place is surrounded by at least 6 dogs. We are dog lovers but this was just intolerable. We ended up checking out early and going to Tilt-ta-Dock, which I HIGHLY recommend.

Booking a cottage online was simple and Lilly was very helpful during the process. Iain took care of my husband and I for the week we visited Belize. He was gracious and wonderful, even when our shower knob broke. He handled the plumbing repairs himself and took us to a local restaurant during the work so we would not be inconvenienced. He had excellent suggestions for sites to see and vendors to use so we felt like real locals. The cottage was clean and the courtyard was beautiful. We visited over New Year's Eve through our wedding anniversary. We are looking forward to our next visit.
