A great and fun experience! Our guide was friendly, and we were able to see a good variety of animals.
This is a great natural reserve just outside of Gaborone. Admission fee is 150 Pula and it includes two hour drive along the reserve and light snacks and soft drinks.
There is onsite restaurant as well.
Ride was bumpy but enjoyable. We saw monkeys, buffaloes, giraffes, birds. Etc.
There are no lions in this preserve as lions reside in preserve adjacent to this one.
The only challenge was to get there. You have to talk to your hotel's reception to arrange for private taxi. We stayed at Gaborone convention center resort and the cost for round trip taxi with drivers waiting for us was close to $100. Overall highly recommend this place as you get a good taste for "mini safari".
Saw a nice variety of animals and the guides were both helpful and knowledgeable.
Nice game reserve and within 30 minute drive from the Avani hotel.
Short 20 minute drive from Gaborone CBD. Worth a visit. Great staff members. Information filled 2 hour yours.
Make sure to try the Mokolodi Steak here, the source is absolutely worth it. Most important they have ice cold beer on tap and the staff are friendly. After a days work it is nice to dine outside and watch some buck etc while winding down.
Good food, friendly and helpful staff. A great day out. The game drive was a little bumpy for my elderly father, but still enjoyable. Best time to view game is in winter, mainly due to supplemental feeding points for rhino, and less vegetation making for better visibility.
Superb authentic cultural restaurant with terrific menu. Best food in botswana!
Utterly in love with this place and the staff here. We are volumteers here for 5 weeks helping with conservation. This is a fantastic Aftican experience!
Great proximity to gabarone (gabs). Mountain biking and caged rehab animals. No lions or elephants. Excellent showers at camp site
Lovely venue, had an amazing game drive with a wonderful game ranger, very informative and friendly. Fun day well worth a visit!
Paradise a few steps from the hustle and bustle of the city
You see a few animals, but not that many. The road is quite bumpy. Staff is quite friendly. This is family oriented.
Nice but to see animals depends on luck
Some beautiful nature scenery. Very nice food at the restaurant. You can enjoy watching from your seat. There are some beautiful mountain bike routes you can explore.
Ok for the prize!!! It has a few animals and you can camp there as well. You'll be in the city without feeling "in" it. It's also not crowded at all. The roads are in bad conditions, even for a 4x4. You CAN do self drive despite what the website says.
best game range within the vicinity of Gaborone, Botswana. I have been here in June 2015 and enjoyed a lot
Great food especially the pizza and ox tail. Saw lots of animals, birds, and rhinos up close. Awesome guides and service. If you have an afternoon free and are in gabs def stop here.
Great nature camping, only 15km from Gaborone. Water is heated by means of a donkey.
I am sure the place would have been nice. At a fee you can do their game drives. Normally we like to do our own game drives. U can only do this if u become a member at a higher yearly fee. I found this a little disappointing. We did stay to have lunch and a beer though.
Love the diningpoor accommodation services. Had to wait 2hrs for a car to get me to my chalet, ended up cancelling my booking and was refunded after 2 weeks
it. is lovely place but it is not. a place to go very day.But the I gave it four. Stars isn't. I disliked it.but is fun and has. A nice. Site
Very nice. Good place for a wedding or celebration.
Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Great views. Very fresh air.
Great place to get away. Can either camp or rent chalets. Variety of wild life like kudus, antelopes, rhinos, foxes, warthogs and birds of different kinds.
We went to one of the chalets and went on a game drive. The chalet (Eland) has a great view and we saw some impalas grazing. We had a good experience. The game drive is OK.
