Good morning dear friends. Sorry that I have not been able to send out my weekly newsletter again this week. Just to let you know I will NOT be having a stall at Bull and Bush tomorrow. Our next event is the Winter Open Farm and Open Pottery in Notwane on Saturday 21st July. Thank you and enjoy the long weekend!
Dear Friends, It is Farmer's Market time once more and our colourful market at Bull and Bush will warm you up this Saturday, 30th June (10am to 3pm)! For the first time this year we are fully booked so there are plenty of stunning stalls to catch your eye. Lots of lovely home-made, home grown, locally sourced goodies and yummy food from the restaurant. All washed down by the soulful tunes of our very own superstar - Cedric!
At my stall there will be beautiful heads of lettuce at a reduced price of P15 each (usually P20), packs of mixed baby leaves lettuce, bunches of kale, packs of plain and coloured spinach, packs of Asian veggies - pak choi and mizuna plus two types of beautiful tatsoi, a few bunches of beetroots, leeks and carrots, and plenty of healthy herbs, such as garlic chives, coriander, huge bunches of rocket and wild rocket. I will have the full range of my usual tasty preserves including Grapefruit and Ginger Marmalade and Spicy Paw-Paw & Spicy Pineapple Chutney. There will also be my yummy bakes including chocolate beetroot muffins and brownies and lamingtons. Please order in advance to avoid disappointment. Thank you

Eating healthy is probably the most important thing to do to avoid cancer - This is from Johanita Louw who writes in the Farmer's Weekly : A large body of research has shown that poor nutrition is a leading cause of cancer. She particularly emphasises Vitamin D which we get from sunshine and some foods. My feeling is that children need to spend time outside in the sun instead of on indoors on cell phones, laptops, TV etcShe also identifies nutrient-rich .plant foods as having anti-cancer properties.
