Really beautiful resort, though rooms could be more updated and refurbished. The room we got had a bad smell due to the rain falling on the thatched roof. The activities available to do were amazing. Overall it was an awesome stay.

Wonderful getaway destination with the backdrop of the beautiful chobe river in the vicinity. Delicious food from an interesting menu. Lovely garden and pool. The boats passing by provide additional flavour to the local ambience! I will be back and hopefully stay a longer time..

The food at Chobe Safari Lodge was pretty gross in my opinion. Even though tons of people lined up for the buffet, I was appalled at the low quality of the food they were serving. Everything tasted old, like it had been made hours or days ago and was sitting in oil and gas industry stale and soggy. There are hardly any vegetarian options and when we asked for some plain steamed vegetables what they brought was laughable. Cold soggy limp over cooked old veggies. Completely disgusting. Would never return.

Eco reception area. Beautiful rooms. Animals roam free here - it is their land. We saw baboons, warthogs, mongoose, deer and many species of birds. The restaurant offers ala-carte 3 course meals. Excellent food and portions. Towels provided for the pòol area. Gave some cards with stamps on to reception to post, but haven't arrived yet - approx 3 weeks ago now.

We had a good stay on the Campsite. Our space was pretty small and by far nothing special. It was a slanting place to park the car without good shade and we only had a fireplace to use. Electricity available which is nice. Bathrooms are okay and not far away. The pool and bar area is fine. The Wifi-Codes for each device and day on a little paper are a little pain, though.
We've made an afternoon Boattrip with a nice crew and saw many animals - recommended! We also went to the Vic Falls via the hotel. Everything was fine but a bit pricey. Maybe have your eyes open for other provider if you have time for it. There is a good supermarket 1 minute away. All in all - good stay!

Great locale right inside Chobe National Park on the Chobe River. African-themed architecture with authentic thatched roofs. Feels like living in an African village without being in an African village. Courteous staff - mostly (we did encounter a grumpy receptionist on arrival, which did not present a pleasant first impression). Food is varied, tasty, and well-prepared. Rooms are quaint, with very little storage, but well-kept and clean. Wildlife roams the grounds, so be careful if you are out late! Super location for birders. Ask for Roy as your guide. He's knowledgeable, patient, accommodating (e.g., stayed out well past his allotted 3 hours), well-spoken, and professional.

Have just stayed 3 nights at the Chobe Safari Lodge with my son, his partner and 3 teenage grandchildren. We stayed in the rondavells and the accommodation was great - large rooms with mosquito nets, ensuite toilet, shower and bath. Food was mainly buffet with great choice including vegetarian dishes.
We went on early morning and afternoon game drives plus an afternoon river cruise. We saw a good variety of game: lion, hippos, buffaloes, giraffe, many elephants, various antelopes including kudu, kuku, water buck, red lechwe, impala and very many beautiful birds.
We all enjoyed our stay.

I have stayed at Chobe Safari Lodge for five nights. Its a very beautiful place i can say. the River view is unbelievable,the tropical, the swimming pool!! the outside activities were endless. the General Manager was helpful and the entire staff. would definitely go back with my family and will recommend it to a friend.

We use the camp side, price 10 Dollar p.p. is absolutly okay. Camp side well equiped and really close to the chobe Park. 4 Stars. But Service and food Quality in comparison of the High prices (16 Dollar for a worst breakfast) are not acceptable. The Pool stuff is quite Old and the pool is stinky.

While we found the nature of Botswana very beautiful, Chobe Safari Lodge was our low light during the entire trip to Africa. It is obviously under the same management as the adjacent Chobe Bush Lodge. Unfortunately, we found most staff are sad, disinterested and unfriendly (We tipped accordingly). The buffet food was usually over-cooked and lacking freshness. When we enquired about a cooked bug in our food, CSL staff were disinterested and dismissive. We found most of their staff (reception, food/beverages and activities offices) apathetic, unprofessional and dismissive. Botswana advises foreigners that tap water is not drinkable, but the Lodge provides no drinking water, and charges steep prices for bottled water.

The best location with camping sites near the water. All the buildings are well maintained with good view from the restaurant on the river with lots of animals. The food are good and the staff very friendly. The game drives into the park was the best. Take the boat trip to see a lot of animals. These trips are highly recommended when in Botswana.
