Just lovely. Friendly staff, great accommodation in separate Rondavals, great food, small, private lodge, amazing location right on the river. Game drives, boat trips, village walks or just relaxing by the pool. We loved it.

Very traditional huts.. Nice food. Extremely friendly service. Esther (she can make crazy things with her voice ;-)) and Tsiamo are two wonderful women I remember. Be careful to get one of the older traditional huts and not the newer built ones (not as nice). The newer ones are not overlookimg the Okavango and lack the charme of older ones (there is only one advantage to them: air conditioning). But the older rooms are built with traditional material, so they don't get too hot. I liked them much more (we switched from new to old after one night). The boat tours and safari tours included are great. Our guides were very engaged and we saw a lot of animals.

Beautiful setting, great food, welcoming and extremely friendly staff, who go out of their way to accommodate special requests (gluten allergies, arriving very late for lunch, etc.). The boat cruises are incredible and the guides very knowledgeable.

A lovely place, good service, great food😊
A little bit of a drive for activities (about 20 minutes), - still worth it! Excellent guide!

I was there as single traveler with Overseas Adventure Travel in March 2015. Upon arrival, you are greeted like a loved family member. The lodge is located on the Chobe river, and from the balconies all rooms have picturesque views of the river. On your bed, you find a little note, welcoming you to the Lodge, which is run mostly by wonderful women. The rooms are large, bright, friendly and appointed very nicely. There are 2 wonderful showers: one inside and one outside. I was surprised to have coffee or tea making utensils in my room - and even a hair dryer (I don't expect that on Safari). The 2 guides were very knowledgable, the safari vehicles equipped with rain gear for everyone Upon departure, you received another note thanking you for your visit. If traveling to Kasane again, I would love to stay at Bakwena Lodge again. Thank you everyone. I miss you already.
