The hotel has a lot of friendly staff, great atmosphere, a buffet that is made up many different cuisines and a very spacious dining area. The bar at the hotel is also great and the staff are professionals.

One of if not THE city's #1 accommodation place. Located near the National Stadium and the University of Botswana. Has wifi, swimming pool, Casino, a bar, dining area, almost everything one would want. I believe anything you spend here is worth it. Great place. Highly recommend it

Such warm and hospitable people! Received a lovely winter hamper and gift set when I entered my room. Lovely and spacious rooms. Also no need to carry an international plug adapter if you are coming from South Africa, as they had the room fitted with both South Africa and Botswana plug sockets.

The new look is a great improvement, love the WIFI connectivity, love the fact that you can download the Press Reader app from your room and download hundreds of publications all over the world, also a great place for meetings, has the world class Mahogany Restaurant and a casino(if that's your type of thing), there are ATMs outside and it's a walking distance to the golf course.

The air conditioners are very noisy. Carpets Don’t smell pleasant. Standard has gone down from the last time we stayed. The buffet is good though

The service is appauling. The staff there treat Chinese and Muslims with more dignity than black people. Its disgusting and shallow minded. I had to change rooms twice because of the issues i faced. Firstly the first room smelt like cigarette because the air conditioner filtered cigarette residue from outside and the second room had an issue with the air conditioner fan being broken and thirdly i reported a WiFi issue seven times and still did not fix it. Its no longer the good Gaborone Sun hotel I knew

The three stars are for the excellent breakfast and pool side bar staff. The two stars that Avani did not get are for lack of meeting or conference rooms, checkout invoices could not be amended or amended poorly and the hotel being rather expensive.

My only issue with Avani Gaborone is I now have to check out and retreat to my humble abode. It won’t be the same without all the magic we experienced at the hotel. Well done guys. Keep up the good work. The seswaa pie was something to behold. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Me and my two friends were to meet for a drink by the pool bar from 15:00. After 16 minutes I still have not had any service. It is a pity because the revamp looks quite nice.

Staff is friendly but needs serious credit/debit card training as they do not know the difference between an authorisation number and card number.
I was called out of my room in the middle of the night several times by the staff at reception until past 1am. Therefore I could not enjoy the comfortable and well maintained facilities that I had paid for or a good night's rest for my long journey that very same morning.
I would think it would be common sense that if a client's card is swiped and approved on debit/credit card machines at various speed points and they all show the same authorisation number and not the full bank card number that the client should then no longer be harassed for their lack of understanding or training. Lesson of the day: Rather pay cash or online.

It has a magistical jungle gym nd nice lawn available for photo taking,and also has some animals like baboons that show the beauty of nature,along with the trees

Great place to relax. Friendly, patient and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool, decent gym and great food at the buffet - I especially enjoyed the Venison. Room was cozy
