Very good location to see the Chukha Dam.This is a good wayside restaurant.On the way to Thimpu one can have the lunch & tiffin here.Reasonable rate. Cosy atmosphere.

As the name tells, you can see the dam from above this hotel. Food very nice taste, served hot though it takes a time. I think I found the cheapest food in Bhutan at a very great quality. The shop also has a wide variety of products ranging from eatables to clothes and then also Bhutanese crafts,antiques etc. Best shop at a highway

Nice place to eat. Decent food. Kawa Datsi is considered a special dish and so extra gravy is not entertained. Food was tasty, place was good, hosts were welcoming.

Chhukha falls between Paro / Thinphu and Phuntsholing and an ideal place to take a break. There are a few restaurants here and we chose Dam View Hotel. We had the famous Koka (noodles) and we enjoyed the dish pretty much.
Though, what I could not understand was - we were able to order an omelette - but there was no bread available in the restaurant which basically felt odd.
Overall the place was clean and the service was prompt. What more does one need from a functional restaurant in the middle of the mountains.response / report this review -

Best restaurant in this hill area. Food products are quite delicious, we have our lunch in this restaurant. I have ordered for chicken fried rice. Quality of this food is comparatively more better than upper hill areas I.e. towards Paro or thump. There is a good view of a hydro project dam. There is a beautiful view of hill area back side of the hotel. It is generally crowded for its food quality. So many people's are there for your order and food preparation. There are some little puppy and they may play with you and may delight you. A large pray roller is kept in front of the restaurant. You can also purchase some snakes from there.

Good restaurant at Bhutan. From Jaigaon (India) to Thimpu (Bhutan) traveling by road this restaurant is build just besides the main road. Maximum tourist are staying here for testy food. Screening beauty is really marvelous. Most probably one of the free smoking zone at Bhutan.

While traveling between Phuntsholing and Thimpu, this is a good stop for food. Food was very nice (that is, suitable for Indian appetite). A shop adjacent to the restaurant is suitable for buying candies, dry-fruits, snacks etc.

This is a small restaurant enroute Phuentsholing to Thimpu around 80KM from Phunetsholing town. This place provides good Indian/Chinese food as well as traditional Bhutanese delicacies like Kewa Daktshi. They have token based system, but service is real quick. The place provides a nice view of the river and the dam. Also, there is a bar and a prayer wheel outside the restaurant.

Really good food, especially kuka and sula.
