Make sure you're with your tour guide - or, this is more relevant for travellers, you're carrying your permit / passport with you. Technically, you'll not be allowed entry without it.

It is the most sacred temple in Bhutan and hangs on a precipitous cliff at 900 metres (3,000 ft) above the valley. The view from the temple is amazing and simply beautiful!!!

Not a trekker? Take it easy, go as slow as you want to, don't get breathless but keep going. Use the stick!

Horse or no--get to the #Tiger'sNest. If your guide's esp devout, you might get into an upper room (gen off-limits) to learn at the feet of a monk. Incredible! #Bhutan #travel

Bring jacket because its really cold up here. Dont use other than hiking shoes because its slippery. Make sure to step only at rocks when raining as its slippery.

3-4 hours climb up to monastery. Bring some umbrella during summer time because of raining. Bring hiking shoes and make sure to bring climbing stick or buy wooden stick at the staring point.

Everyone says don't take the horses, but the ride is an adventure of its own! The wooden saddles can be hard to get used to, as can the steep terrain and precarious footing. Either way, you hike down.

Every bit as amazing as people say. Earn more merits by skipping the horses and walking the whole way. Make sure to stop every now and then on the way there and back to admire the incredible scenery.
