The new Lhakhang in Khapti Goenpa under Samkhar Gewog in Trashigang is a tribute to His Majesty the King for his long life and continued peace and prosperity in the country.
Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck Choling Lhakhang was constructed under the guidance and supervision of Gyeltsen Trulku Kunzang Tempey Gyeltshen. Gyeltsen Trulku conceptualized all the Lhakhang’s design and the wall paintings by referring to some religious texts. The Lhakhang has wall paintings, which are unique only to this new Lhakhang. For His Majesty’s long life, a Khingkhor, known as Tshepamey Lulang has also been built in the second floor of the Lhakhang.response / report this review
