Under the Leadership of H.E. Lyonpo Sangay Ngeydup the than Chairman of the National Technical Training Authority (NTTA) the Rigney Training Institute was established on 2nd June 1997 inTrashiyangtse Dzongkhag with an objective of: “Promote and Preserve Culture”, “Cater the demand of the Skills” in six eastern Dzongkhag and also to keep the “Traditional Arts & Crafts Alive” (TACA) and it is operated directly under the administrative control of the Director, NTTA. The Institute is located 2 K.M. above Chorten Cora and between Trashiyangtse General Hospital and Bhimkhar village
